visiting the first fortress which was built by tsar Peter the Great in 1703 and it is
considered as a year of the city’s foundation.
We continue observing 18th century buildings on the Vasilievsky island which
was the center of the city at that time.
Period of the greatest prosperity of the city as well as the whole empire we
could study in the Nevsky prospect area which still is a heart of the city life.
We will end our excursion by visiting the most impressive cathedral of the city by
climbing the 56 meter colonnade of St. Isaac’s cathedral where we could see the

The Hermitage is one of the biggest museums of the world, its vast collections include masterpieces of ancient, Renaissance and modern artists as well as the precious objects from all over the world. The Hermitage is a jewel box of the city and we would open it during our visit.
St. Petersburg is also called “Venice of the North” due to the quantity of rivers and channels in the city, there are over 300 bridges, some 20 of them can be raised to let the large ships through. We would take a boat trip to have the best view of the city’s aquatic system.

Marvelous royal summer palace which was constructed on the bay of Finland shore in the delta of the river Neva, gives the best impression of the Russian nobility life.

The Hanseatic city lies in the boundary zone between the East Slavic/Russian and

The Valley of Geysers is a unique natural site located in the Kronotsky Reserve
in a vast gorge and the river Geysernaya flows along it. All forms of geothermal
activity can be found here within 6 kilometers, including active pulsing boiling
springs, hot lakes, mud pots, and small volcanoes, steam jets, hot fields, and, of
course, geysers. Diameter of the biggest geyser Velikan (“Giant”) is up to 3
meters; the blast of water while erupting reaches 30 meters height.
Karymsky volcano (1536 m) is located in the central part of the Eastern volcanic
belt of Kamchatka. Nowadays it is one of the most active volcanoes in the world

with 20 eruptions for the last 215 years. The latest eruption started on
2nd January 1996 and is still going on. Each 5-15 minutes it throws out gas and
ash 300-1000 meters above its crater.

Kamchatka. A majestic picture of an active crater will open to you from the top
of the volcano. After the latest earthquake of 2000, a huge glacier in the crater
of Mutnovsky volcano partially melted, forming a crater lake of deep-turquoise
color. It freezes in winter and melts in late July, stripping its surface from the
shield ice.

Pskov still preserves much of its medieval walls, built from the 13th century on.
By the 14th century, the town functioned as the capital of a de-facto sovereign
republic. Its most powerful force was the merchants who brought the town into
the Hanseatic League. Within the walls of the Kremlin rises the 78 m-tall Trinity
Cathedral, founded in 1138 and rebuilt in the 1690s. Pskov is exceedingly rich in
tiny, squat, picturesque churches, dating mainly from the 15th and the 16th
centuries.
