the entry point to various other hot spots that mark the tourism map of India. Call it the “City of
Palaces”, Agra spells “splendor” in more ways than one. If you are here with your family and
friends then you are certainly going to experience the treat of a lifetime that will remain etched in
your heart and soul forever. With a whole lot of places to feast your eyes upon, your journey will
leave you refreshed for certain. In addition to the Taj Mahal, there are many other attractions
near Taj Mahal that are praiseworthy. Let us take a look!
• Moti Masjid – Moti Masjid was built by Emperor Shah Jahan between the years 1648 and
1654 for the purpose of offering prayers to be used by his court members. The Masjid holds a
special place and its beautiful pearl white structure along with its intricate designs and
ornamented walls are a clear indication to this fact. Its tremendous beauty and artwork stamps
the opulent craftsmanship of ancient India. The Moti Masjid is indeed a luxury and lavishness in
white marble. No doubt, it is one of the most recognized attractions near Taj Mahal.
• Jodha Bai Ka Rauza – The Jodha Bai ka Rauza was built by Emperor Akbar exclusively for
Jodha Bai who was his favorite queen. This palace is quite simple but very elegant in comparison
to the other glorious palaces built by Emperor Akbar. The palace is a delightful fusion of Mughal
and Rajasthani architecture along with distinct Gujarati and Persian patterns. Jodha was married
to Akbar as a part of the political alliance of the Rajputs with the Mughals. After marriage she
was allowed to offer prayers in her own way and follow her own religion. Being a woman of
great attitude and view, she undoubtedly became Akbar’s favorite queen who built a special
place for her, the Jodha Bai ka Rauza that now stands erect basking in its past glory.

Palace which one of Agra’s noted monuments and also counted as a famous attraction near Taj
Mahal. The palace is a brilliant fusion of Central Asian and Hindu architecture. Its elusive style
