The National Transport, Howth, is operated by the Transport

Museum Society of Ireland, a totally voluntary and unfunded

organisation registered as a charity and limited company without

share capital. The museum, open on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank

Holidays throughout the year and daily in June, July and August,

currently displays 55 vehicles out of a total collection of 186.

Vehicles fall into five categories. The passenger section is the most

numerous:- seven trams, three trolleybuses, 19 double-deck and 19

single-deck buses and six coaches – average age 60 years. Due to

space limitations, only twelve passenger vehicles are currently on

display.
