7. Competition Format – 54 holes single stroke event with cut after two rounds.

8. Age Divisions –

A Boy & Girl Born in 2000, 2001, 2002

B Boy & Girl Born in 2003, 2004

C Boy & Girl Born in 2005, 2006

D Mixed Born in 2007, 2008

E Mixed Born in 2009 and after

9. Draws – draws for each day will be released on the tournament website and tournament information center by the committee.

10. Tees – Tees and yardages info are released on the tournament website.

11. Qualifiers – Southern Qualifier: July 23th; Center Qualifier: July 30st; National Qualifier: August 13th. International entries can be exempted from the

qualifiers upon the submission of the player’s certified current handicap.

12. Prizes –

1 Every player will receive a tournament gift pack and souvenirs.

2 Winners will have names engraved on the permanent grand trophy.

- The overall winner of A/B divisions will receive a One year full-

scholarship at Hills Golf Academy

- The Winners of C, D and E divisions and the overall runner-up of the A/B

divisions will receive a One month training-camp-scholarship at Hills Golf

Academy. *All provided by the Hills Educational Foundation.

The top performers in the A, B and C divisions determined by the

committee will be invited to play selective APJGA ELITE tour events with

entry fee and accommodation fee exemptions.

5 Further detail of junior tournament invitation opportunities for the winners

and best performers will be released on the tournament website.

6 Taiwan LPGA or PGA TOUR event exemptions provided by Tonghwa G.C.

will be awarded to the best performers under committee’s discretion.

7 Crystal trophies will be awarded to the division winners.

8 Runner-up and second runner-up in each divisions will be awarded with

medallions.

9 Top 5 in each division will receive tournament sponsor prizes in golf

equipment or souvenir.

13. PING Short Game Championship – Will be hosted on the 15th and 16th of August in the putting and chipping green area of the tournament venue from 1

pm to 3.30 pm. Prizes will be presented to the winner at the tournament award ceremony on the 17th of August at 2 pm.

14. Official Practice Round – International players are advised to book your practice tee times on the 13th of August or early morning, preferably before

7.30am, on the 14th, to be available to attend tournament opening gala on the 14th at 12:30pm.

15. Entries Deadline – International entry closes on Friday 29th June 2017.

16. The Rules of Golf – The Championship will be played in accordance with the Rules of golf approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and

with the Local Rules provided by the Organizing Committee. Disputes, if any, will be settled by the Organizing Committee, and a decision made by the

Organizing Committee will be final.

17. Dress Regulations – Only acceptable golf attire is permitted. Tank tops, short shorts, swimwear, t-shirts, tank tops and denim are not considered

appropriate attire and should not be worn during competition. International team attire is recommended at the official ceremonies.

18. Golf Balls – The ball that player plays must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A. Penalty for breach of condition:

19. Pace of Play – Pace of play is strictly reinforced, players must keep their playing pace in accordance with the hole-by-hole-timetable provided to avoid

warning and penalty.

20. Use of Motorized Carts – A, B, and C division players may travel in motorized vehicle only in between holes, not during the play of a hole unless authorized

by the Committee or otherwise announced by the committee before the round. Penalty of 2 strokes at each hole where there was a breach with a

maximum of 4 strokes per round. D & E divisions are allowed to ride in carts at all time through the tound.

21. Spectators (Gallery) – Spectators MUST obtain a permit before walking into the course. Failing to comply with the condition of spectating will be removed

from the golf course by the tournament marshal or tournament committee.

22. Use of Measurement Equipment – Measurement device with specifications approved by R&A or USGA is allowed to use in this event.

23. Serious Breach of Etiquette – the followings will be considered as serious breach of etiquette, maximum penalty is disqualification

(a) Hand phone rings or use of hand phone during a stipulated round

(b) Verbal abuse to fellow competitor/official/staff

(c) Intentionally offending a fellow competitor

(d) Improper behaviors such as swearing or throwing clubs

(e) Smoking and consuming alcoholic drinks during a stipulated round

24. Players who have indicated that they wish to be considered for a scholarship offer must comply with the following criteria:

• The candidate must show solid character traits acceptable to the College

• The candidate must show a quality of personal appearance and general presentation

• The candidate must have a C+ average as a minimum requirement of academic skills

• The candidate must have general golf playing skills at a elevated level as deemed by the selection committee

• If the candidate is an international student, they must fulfill The Australian Government’s Department of Immigration student visa requirements

• The scholarship offer is valid for 12 mths, student must activate this by 2019

25. APJGA Membership - Upon entering the tournament, this will automatically join the player as a member of the APJGA. There are no ongoing fees required

to maintain APJGA membership. Each player will be assigned a unique APJGA membership number.

26. Play Off – In case of a tie, when the conditions allow, the A and B divisions will play the 18th hole in the sudden death format until a winner in each group

is determined.

27. Publicity – APJGA and GPAT arrange publicity before, during and after the tournament. It is a condition of entry that all players assent to references to

them and pictures of them in practice and play being published via any medium (including the internet)
