on a first come, first served basis. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registration.

• Fees vary – see individual class descriptions for specific fees.

• Checks/Money orders should be payable to: Town of Clarence

• Separate checks must be written for EACH class.

• No refunds will be given unless a class is cancelled due to insufficient registration.

• For safety reasons, personnel from the Town of Clarence are not responsible for children dropped off early, picked up late or unattended when their classes are not in session.

There are a variety of activities, programs and events that we think you will find interesting, motivating and fun! The brochure is organized by month beginning with September, 2012 through April, 2013. Each entry includes dates, times, location, cost, description and registration instructions. We don’t want you to miss out on any of these opportunities, so for your convenience the back page provides you with a tear-out calendar to post on your refrigerator or bulletin board! Registered teams must send a representative to Harris Hill Elementary on December 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to pick up a schedule, game shirts, and complete any remaining registration details.

Family Fun Night: Friday, January 11 6:00 – 8:30 pm at Clarence Middle School. $5/familyThis evening will provide families with an opportunity to spend time together taking part in team games and swimming. Winterfest 2013: Sunday, January 27 12:00-5:00 pm at Main St. Town Park.The 8th Annual Town of Clarence Winterfest is a day of outdoor and indoor winter fun! Outdoor activities include sledding, ice skating, tractor-drawn hayrides, bonfire, under-water rescue demonstrations, sled dogs, and ice sculpture carving. Indoor activities include various informational booths, entertainment, crafts, games, food and more!

FEBRUARY

Stuff-an-Animal: Saturday, February 9 10:00 – 11:15 am at the Youth Bureau. $20/childThis “stuff-your-own-animal” workshop is sure to please children of all ages! Children will have a choice of 3 different animal friends to stuff, name and take home. “Just for Little Girls Too”: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, February 18, 20, 22 1:00 – 2:30 pm at the Youth Bureau.The “Just for Little Girls Too” Program brings together girls in grades K – 2 to participate in a variety of enriching activities. Like our “Just for Girls” Program for older girls, the program is designed to offer fun ways of promoting team building, friendship making, nutrition, healthy choices and confidence building in a safe environment.*Registration required, please see page 10.

Red Cross Babysitter Training Course: Tuesday and Thursday, February 19 and 21 9:00 am – 12:15 pm at the Youth Bureau. This course will help children ages 11 – 15 learn what you need to know to be the best and most responsible babysitter you can be. Students receive a handbook; a compact emergency reference guide; an interactive CD-ROM featuring an activity booklet with games, songs and recipes; an electronic babysitting client organizer, personal first aid kit, and certification card. Cost is $70. Independent Health members receive a $10 discount, Community Blue AQUA is free. *Registration deadline February 12th, please call the Youth Bureau at 407-2162.

October 26, 2012: Countrygirl Night! Get ready to go hog wild decorating cowgirl hats, making dreamcatchers and cowgirl cookies. Round up some friends to join the fun!

November 2, 2012: Creative Arts! We will be making our own lamps, decorating a tote and designing items with sand (sand art)! As always food and games are included!

November 9, 2012: Field Trip to Creative Essence! We will meet at Creative Essence, 9450 Clarence Center Rd. to create our own decorative wood collage. Bring your creative side!

January 18, 2013: Glam Night! We will try new hairstyles, learn about fashion and create outfits to walk down the runway! We will enjoy snacks at the end of the night too!

January 25, 2013: Creative Arts! Get ready to make a soda bottle coin purse, one of a kind candles and much more! As always, food and games are included!

February 1, 2013: Fun with Food! We will have fun food challenges with teams. Get ready to make cupcake push-ups, donuts from scratch and home made gummies! Take everything home in a custom container!

February 8, 2013: Valentine’s Bash! This is not your typical Valentine’s party! We will make a wire heart ring, heart ice cream sandwiches and hand made stationary for your Valentine’s cards! We will “bash” a piñata for our treats!

February 15, 2013: Field Trip to Creative Essence! We will meet at Creative Essence, 9450 Clarence Center Rd. to make polymer clay pendant necklaces. You will have your own unique creation!

May 3, 2013: Rock-n-Roll Night! Get ready to dance and sing the night away to your favorite rock-n-roll tunes! Dress in an 80’s theme. Snacks and fun are always included!
