Order No 183 for $30000 and order No 195 for $220000 were given the Proctor Trust Co for the benefit of the town treasury until the years taxes were collected when these orders were paid with interest then due as shown by order 209 Order No 211 appears in the road commission report During the year just past the Gorham and the village river bridge were found to be in bad shape and were replanked Also the floor beams of the iron bridge over the Rutland railroad near the station were found to be entirely rusted out These were replaced by new beams and strengthened and the bridge newly planked and painted A total amount of $38940 was spent in reshypairing bridges for the season This unusual expense has made it necessary to overdraw the amount provided by taxes for the year a nd makes it neces~ary to increase the tax rate to square up

The present grand list stands at $14486 23

The legal voters in town meeting of the town of P rocshytor are hereby warned to meet at the Village Hall in the Village of Proctor on Tuesday the 6th day of March A D 1906 at II oclock A M to act upon the followin g matters to witshy

x To choose a moderator to govern said meeting 2 To vote on the following Shall licenses he

granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town 3 To choose the necessary town officers for the enshy

suing year 4 To see if the town will vote to raise a school tax of

more than twenty cents on the dollar and if so how much 5 To see if the town will vote to raise mQre than

twenty cents on the dollar highway tax as required by law

6 To see if the town will vote to raise money by taxshyation or otherwise to pay current expenses meet the State Highway and State School taxes and the indebtedness of the town and to see what time the same and other taxes that may be voted shall be payable

7 To see if the town will vote to accept the proshyvisions of Sections 480 to 486 inclusive of the Revised Laws and amendments thereto for the collection of taxes

8 To see if the town will vote any compensation to town officers

9 To choose grand and petit jurors 10middot To see if the town under the provisions of Section

887 of the Vermont Statutes as amended by Act No 34 of the Laws of 1897 will vote to contract with the Proctor Library Association to furnish books to the inhabitants of the town free and to appropriate money therefor

Order No 183 for $30000 and order No 195 for $220000 were given the Proctor Trust Co for the benefit of the town treasury until the years taxes were collected when these orders were paid with interest then due as shown by order 209 Order No 211 appears in the road commission report During the year just past the Gorham and the village river bridge were found to be in bad shape and were replanked Also the floor beams of the iron bridge over the Rutland railroad near the station were found to be entirely rusted out These were replaced by new beams and strengthened and the bridge newly planked and painted A total amount of $38940 was spent in reshypairing bridges for the season This unusual expense has made it necessary to overdraw the amount provided by taxes for the year a nd makes it neces~ary to increase the tax rate to square up

The present grand list stands at $14486 23

Order No 183 for $30000 and order No 195 for $220000 were given the Proctor Trust Co for the benefit of the town treasury until the years taxes were collected when these orders were paid with interest then due as shown by order 209 Order No 211 appears in the road commission report During the year just past the Gorham and the village river bridge were found to be in bad shape and were replanked Also the floor beams of the iron bridge over the Rutland railroad near the station were found to be entirely rusted out These were replaced by new beams and strengthened and the bridge newly planked and painted A total amount of $38940 was spent in reshypairing bridges for the season This unusual expense has made it necessary to overdraw the amount provided by taxes for the year a nd makes it neces~ary to increase the tax rate to square up
