Joanne Lewis – Chairperson – Ronald McDonald House Orange

Joanne moved to Orange with her husband Geoff and two children over 30 years ago to build and open a McDonald's Family Restaurant in Orange and 4 years later a McDonald's Family Restaurant in Bathurst. Recently, they have successfully sold both Restaurants, have 5 grandchildren to enjoy and live on a Cattle Property 25 kms west of Orange.

Having watched so many sick children in the Restaurants returning from treatments in Sydney Joanne decided to approach local Paediatricians to see if they felt a Ronald McDonald House would support the medical infrastructure of Central and Western NSW. Following confirmation, a Public Meeting was held and a Steering Committee formed with Joanne being elected as Chairman, a position she has passionately held for the past 10 years.
