-Of the companies located in Mexico, 80% of these are involved in the manufacture of parts and components, cables and harnesses, landing systems elements, modeling and plastic injection and precision machinery, among others. Also, 10% of the companies in the aerospace industry located in Mexico, are engaged in the engineering, design and education, its main capabilities: control systems, instrumentation, flight simulation, nondestructive testing, equipment design, data processing and image, among others. The other 10% of the companies in the aerospace industry in Mexico are involved in the maintenance and repair (MRO), which focuses its core capabilities in the maintenance of turbines and engines, auxiliary power units, airframe, electrical-electronic systems and landing among others.

-Concerning the future workers for the aerospace industry, about 90,000 students in Mexico graduate in engineering and technology, and of those 90,000, 900 graduates with masters related to the aerospace industry.

-According to ProMexico, the major niches and sub-specialty regions are identified as: - Pacific: Baja California (electrical-electronic), Chihuahua (electrical-electronics and engine components), and Sonora (CNC machining and precision engineering, electronic and electric-power equipment and systems) -North Central: Mexico City (maintenance and repair), Queretaro (engine components and subassemblies, and heat and surface treatments), and Nuevo Leon (repair and maintenance) For both of these major niches and sub-specialty regions, their main weakness is the absence of suppliers concerning the tools required, which leads to the importation of such tools from the U.S. costing 2 billion in specialized tooling and molds for manufacturing.

-According to the Secretaria de Economia, amongst the states with the highest shares in the aerospace industry, they are emphasizing in the aerospace cluster of Jalisco, which has conditions to attract $ 250 million in investments, supported by the strength of its high-tech electronics industry.

- Baja California, has a well established aerospace industry, being the most important state in the sector, therefore its being contemplated to construct a transit route near the border with the United States as well as the repair and maintenance of infrastructure.

- Queretaro, as of last year tripled the area occupied in the state´s Aeronautical Industrial Park, and its expected to generate between 800 to 1000 jobs. Queretaro also has the first aerospace laboratory, funded by the state government, the Mexican Federation of Aerospace Industries (Femia) and the National Council for Science and Technology. The laboratory´s goal is to test aircraft components manufactured in Mexico, which will mean savings for manufacturers, by not having to send them to other countries for their tests.

- In Sonora the creation of two technology parks, has been announced, this park will house companies in the aerospace industry.

- In Chihuahua, companies like Cessna and Textron have invested in the construction of two new plants which will be involved in the production of parts for all models of aircrafts manufacturers, and it is planned to invest more money in the upcoming ten years in order to create a new plant dedicated to the manufacturing of cabinets, assemblies and wire harnesses for commercial helicopters.

According to the article, Industria Aeronautica en Mexico: volando alto, Diaz Moron, states that its necessary to optimize the competitive advantages as well as the comparative advantages in the regions considering their geographical position, infrastructure, network of free trade agreements, the working area 'same time' and high capacity to react to immediate adaptation of products.

Company History (Small description of the origin , Company Orientation, Strategic Objective, Mission Vision, and Strategies)

The Eurocopter Group, is dedicated to the production of helicopters around the world. It was formed in 1992, with the merging of two helicopter divisions named Aerospatiale, and Daimler-Benz Aerospace AG. The merging of these two helicopter divisions, made Eurocopter a powerful competitor, and gave the company a competitive advantage since both companies had created helicopter “firsts”. The EADS group (European Aeronautic Defence & Space Company), is one of the three largest industrial corporations in the aviation and space business worldwide.Through a process of integration, the Eurocopter group has become a wholly subsidized by EADS, to 100%.It consists of three entities:

Eurocopter's Head Office in France,German subsidiary, Eurocopter Deutschland,The Spanish subsidiary, Eurocopter Spain.

This configuration has enabled the group to have unified command structures, and at the same time respect the national identities of the partner countries. Among the other EADS divisions highlights the commercial aircraft manufacturer Airbus with its producer Airbus Military tanker transport, EADS Astrium, a leader in space programs and Cassidian, the Defence & Security division. Eurocopter is represented by 30 subsidiaries and participations in all 5 continents. The company offers a broad range of helicopters in the industry, from light single engine helicopters to light and medium twins, or medium heavy transport helicopters for both civil and military missions. Eurocopter´s sales in 2010 reached 346 helicopters, and 503 in 2011. In 2011, the company had revenue of 5.4 billion euros. In 2011, Eurocopter confirmed its position as the # 1 global manufacturer of helicopters for civil and public market, with a turnover of 5,400 million euros, orders for 457 new helicopters, and a market share of 43% in the civil and public sectors. The group's products now represent 33% of the total world helicopter fleet. The aerospace cluster, in Mexico proves to be growing; therefore the economy is expected to be beneficiated by this.
