Listed below are examples that constitute service activities in connectionwith various commissions. Some activities may overlap the areas ofconcern of two or three commissions and can be listed under anyappropriate commission. These are meant only to be examples - pleaseinclude any other activities that qualify:

CHURCH COMMISSION: Service to parish/council for liturgical celebrations, religiouseducation, vocation promotion, special seasonal celebrations (Lent, Marian feasts)sacramental preparation/ celebrations, hospitality, altar care, grief ministry, etc.Attendance at meetings and programs.

FAMILY COMMISSION: Outreach and/or service to family units or members of families(children, teens, new mothers, seniors, inter-generational programs), supporting life(NCCW Mothers Outreach To Mothers or other services for expectant mothers, respitecare, advocacy for the elderly, attendance at the March for Life) NCCW Book Project,etc., activities for national Family Week, involvement in domestic violence educationalor service activities.

COMMUNITY COMMISSION: Time dedicated to community-based programs such assupport for domestic violence shelters or homeless shelters, prison ministry, tutoringprograms, ecumenical programs, outreach to rural communities, service to victims oradvocacy against domestic violence (education/distribution of information brochures,etc.), NCCW Respite Program, support to schools or senior citizen centers, care of theenvironment, CASE Projects, etc.

INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION: Fundraising for NCCW/CRS partnership programs,services to immigrants, refugees, migrants, English as a Second Language programs,education or advocacy efforts related to world hunger, poverty, other global issues.

LEGISLATION COMMISSION: Voter registration, issue education programs(speakers/workshops), community advocacy for schools, parks, public services, letterwriting campaigns, state legislative days, etc.

ORGANIZATION COMMISSION: Leadership activities and service (e.g., service in aleadership position), communications activities (e.g., editing/producing a CCWnewsletter, producing bulletin inserts relating to CCW generally rather than to a specificservice project), membership drives and activities (any such activities whether at theparish, deanery, or diocesan level).
