onship, the 2015 racing year has quickly to an end. The STKC has had a very successful year, hosting round 2 for the SWS
and trying a new race format in the TwinTrack Challenge. Our members have had re-knowned success Australia wide, tak-
ing it to the best in the country.

State Titles Wrap up
LKC put on a smooth race meeting, with the sun shinning, the Tasmanian drivers grid-
ded up for the biggest meeting of the year, all eyes on the prestigious Blue Plate. The
STKC members had some strong results and plenty of podium finishers. Showing im-
pressive pace all weekend, Evan Livingston of Birel/Kartsport.com managed to avoid
carnage at the start of the X30 light final and came across the line first! Scoring a well
earnt Blue Plate. A first for Livingston but certainly won’t be his last! Tag Light saw 2
STKC members on the podium with Brad Hobden in 2nd and Tabatha Badger taking
out a close battle for 3rd. As always the over 40’s fastest and hardest racers, Scotty
Hilyard and Steve Crocker, fought all weekend with the mainland’s Peter O’Neil and
made podium appearances, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Jonathan Mcdonald continued
his strong form in Clubman Heavy, placing 2nd.
TwinTrack Challenge The Twin Track Challenge saw a new and exciting race format with competitors
racing the track anti-clockwise Saturday then clock-wise Sunday. The meeting
incorporated the inaugural Ian Harrington Memorial and Rising Stars Award.
Those who didn’t get blown away Saturday set some great lap times. Zhane Rip-
per broke the TagR Heavy Record, while the juniors set out to prove their skills in
front of the Rising Stars Judges.
Tate Frost and Lachie Dalton battled hard weekend long. It came down to the last
3 laps in the final but Frost proved too hot for his rival, taking the race win and
becoming the 2015 Rising Star.
Up and coming Rising Star went to Cadet 9 driver, Darcy Whelan, who won was
setting fastest lap times all weekend.
