• Details – 2 of the 3 Detailees have returned to Trademarks: rotated in a new Senior Advisor to the CIO (Ron Sussman)

Looking Forward

• Single Laptop Program– Update aging desktop/laptop Hardware– Reduce costs: Desktop, laptop, remote desktop server

hardware– Initial tests show some software will not run on Windows

7 so we are looking at minimal updates to tide us over while working on TM NG

– Upgrade to a modern, more secure operating system and configuration

– Reduce “Baseline” configurations and further lock down administrative rights

• Data.gov and Google• eLearning• Public Search Facility reduction of hours
