The Vols, Vandy, Western, MTSU, Tech, Cumberland, all holding to see what happens with football. Some high schools work-ing hard to have a full schedule. Basketball team having workouts. Tennessee men have had two players with the virus but reports say they are ok. Speaking of basketball, Kara Lawson, former Lady Vol and All American, had been named the new head coach at Duke. A prime job for this twelve year pro player and tv host. Gallatin tee ball is finished. I understand the Cubs came in second. Fishing is fine. Miles Wanstrath has had two weeks every day fishing in the sunshine state. I am sure as he returns he will head out and see his buddy Tommy Crafton for more fishing fun. The great one, Eddie Sherlin, has been busy, but he and son getting in some golf. So is Vol State athletics director Bob Hudson. Even basketball coach Rusty Melvin has been busy. Lots of coaching moves including Austin Peay losing a great head Coach in football. When this crazy period is over, you will see many changes in the sports world from players to coaches to even how fans feel about players attitude. It is a tough time but let’s keep it together world. Thank all of you for supporting this sports column. Thanks to Steve and Gwen for giving me this chance to the fans in our area and beyond.
