TRADITIONAL FOOD AND FAST FOOD
For normal growth and health, food contains nutrients in the right proportion and quantity is needed. Now a days people select fast food rather than traditional food. Traditional food include rice, tubers etc. Nutrient foods are very important for the proper growth of the body.
Fast food include packet foods, fried foods etc. Lots of synthetic substances are used to increase the odour, colour and flavour of food items.

SO…WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH EATING TOO MUCH FAST FOOD?
Fast food contains a lot of fat, calories, and sodium. Can lead to weight gain and high blood pressure. These health problems can lead to chronic diseases.

• Stroke
• Some cancers
REMEMBER THE HEALTHY HINTS: ABOUT FAST FOOD.
• Choose vegetable topped pizza - skip fatty meat toppings
• Choose grilled chicken - skip fried foods
• Choose smaller portions - skip “super size”
• Other good choices: baked potato, side salads, bean burritos, frozen yogurt
Food which contains nutrients in the required quantity and proportion is called a balanced diet.
