SAY CHEESEIn an effort to finalize our 2018 Picture Directory, there will be several photographers around campus on September 9, 16, and 23. Some will be outside near the sanctuary, and one will be set-up with a backdrop in the lobby of the Fellowship Building. If you have not submitted a photo (or you would like a new one), stop by and have your picture taken. We will even provide you a digital copy of the picture for your social media or Christmas cards. If you would like to submit a photo or update your information, please email Floyd at [email protected].

CHRISMON WORKSHOPMembers of the Altar Guild are preparing for the Advent Season, and need your help. On September 17, and 18, at 10:00am in the church library, a workshop will take place to repair and to create new Chrismons (ornaments using Christian symbols). Please come to contribute your talents and to help make our Chrismon trees beautiful.

TRADITIONAL SERVICE SOUND OPERATOR VOLUNTEERSWe are in search of up to 2 volunteers willing to learn to operate the sound console for the Traditional Service. No specific audio experience required, just a cheerful approach to service and willingness to learn simple steps to make the service run smoothly. Once trained, will be asked to serve on one particular Sunday each month (ex: the second Sunday of each month). Call the church office or email Tim Peck at [email protected] to get started with training.

HANDS ON THOMAS COUNTY DAY Hands On Thomas County Day (HOTC Day) is Thomas County’s only “volunteer-a-thon” and it’s going to be big! The 15th annual Hands On Thomas County Day will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018. During this one-day event, volunteers will spread throughout Thomas County to help with a wide range of community needs submitted by non-profits and communityagencies. Companies and civic groups, large and small, as well as individuals, will create teams to participate and reap the rewards of teamwork, camaraderie and making a difference right here in Thomas County. TFUMC will have volunteers on campus to help with several projects from 9:00am-noon. If you would like to join one of these groups, please contact Jason Harpe at (850) 519-5254.
