INTRODUCTION There are two different works of two different

Authors, but in both of them Derozio’s “Fakeer of Juhngheera” and Khalid Hosseini’s “Thousand splendid suns” there is one point which is common “Marginalization of women”.

In one work there is a problem of “Sati- Pratha”, in the other work there is different question that a woman who can not give birth to child is no woman.

In all these things issue is woman is always being victim of male dominating society. Always fight for their existence.

VICTIM OF MALE DOMINATING SOCIETY. In both of the work we found

male dominance over woman.

In “Fakeer of Jungheera” Nuleeni’s husband was dead but still he dominate her, whereas in “Thousand splendid sons” Mariam suffers a lot because she can not give birth to baby for his husband.

Society set rules mostly for women. Male is always dominating, in Afghanistan or in India no matter.

MARGINALIZATION OF WOMAN How marginalized human beings these women

are. They have no freedom, no right to take their own decisions.

This works reminds one of Simon de Beauvoir’s statement that, “No one is a woman by birth but she has (to learn) to become a woman.
