All Transtyle trailers are fitted with rubber torsion suspension. The rubber inner tubes dampen shock, reduce sway at high speeds and are maintenance-free, unlike conventional leaf spring and shock absorber systems. Both sides of the axle operate independently creating a smooth, quiet ride.

We also offer the option of a contoured bed in the centre of the axle, creating a low centre of gravity for improved handling. The axle beams are hot-dip galvanised and the torsion arm and inner metal shaft are finished with Dacromet plating for protection against corrosion.

Rubber Torsion Suspension

All Transtyle trailers are constructed with marine-grade I-beam aluminium. This lightweight metal is incredibly strong, easy to maintain and will never rust. Transtyle trailers are bolted together using

stainless-steel bolts, U-bolts and nylon lock nuts. This construction technique allows for subtle flexing during operation, unlike conventional welded joins that can crack or split.

Every Transtyle trailer is constructed with an aluminium draw bar, winch post and heavy-duty checker plate guards. Guards are reinforced and

strong enough to stand on, with a backing plate to stop dirt and debris hitting the boat during towing.

Transtyle axles come with the unique Grease Exchange System that is proven to protect wheel bearings from corrosion, wear and water ingress.

Maintenance is incredibly simple and fast. Alternative option of oil bath lubrication is also available. Please see options on page 7.

TRAILER FEATURES

Transtyle will customise a boat support system for your vessel with the options of rollers, keel rollers and skids, just skids, or wobble rollers. The skids are

manufactured from a highly durable, 100% recycled, marine-grade polymer plastic and are suitable for both fibreglass and aluminium boats.

Transtyle trailers are fitted with stylish magnesium alloy wheels and 8-ply light truck-style tyres for maximum roadholding and safety under load.

Transtyle trailers come with hydraulic disc brakes featuring:

• Heavy-duty Dacromet-plated ventilated disc rotors

• Transtyle / Kodiak / Deemaxx brake callipers with stainless-steel pistons and dacromet-plated

• Braided stainless-steel flexible brake lines and stainless steel connectors

• Models up to two tonne are fitted with hydraulic override disc brakes

• Models over two tonne are fitted with hydraulic disc brakes to all axles and a Dexter 1600psi brake actuator and breakaway system

A spare wheel and tyre is a must-have spare part for any road trip.

Spare Wheel and Hanger

Upgrade your braking system to stainless steel components. This includes the stainless-steel vented rotor, caliper and caliper brackets. You can select to upgrade all of these components or individual items.

An oil bath lubrication system offers the benefit of checking your lubrication system at any given time, simply by looking through the sight glass. Any issues with water entry will also be immediately obvious.

East Coast Pilgrimage

Jack Murphy, from The Captain magazine reflects on his

trip with a Transtyle Trailer.

The trip from Melbourne to Far North Queensland

along the coast isn’t an easy drive by any stretch of the

imagination. Doubly so if you’ve got to trek it back again

at the end of your adventure. All-up, you’re looking at over

8,000km of hard wear and tear on you and your boat trailer.

Along the way you’ll also find treacherous roadworks,

corrugated dirt roads, cattle grids and plenty of potholes,

which all try and put the boot in.

Call me crazy, but I’ve completed this fishing pilgrimage

back and forth three times!

On my first two voyages, using other trailers, I experienced

cooked wheel bearings, flat tyres and even a snapped

winch post! However, on my last trip I got there and back

without a single problem. Yep, I travelled 10,000km without

any trailer niggles. With a single-axle Transtyle under the

belly of my baby, Red Dog (a Stabicraft 1650), the crew and

I travelled in safety and style.

Put simply, a good trailer is one that you forget about.

That’s why I loved the Transtyle. The low centre of gravity

meant it didn’t dance, bounce or sway behind the car, nor

did it flex too little or too much. The oil bearings were an

initial concern, only because of the rumours I’d heard.

However, they ended up being really simple to use and only

needed to be filled up twice in 10,000km. When it came to

launching, the three-roller/skid combination worked a treat.

The boat wouldn’t instantly slide off the trailer when the

straps were removed. A touch of reverse from the outboard

would get it off easily, which is ideal for solo missions.
