TRAIN Florida offers free credible public health training in 60 subject areas. In order to obtain training, you’ll need to CREATE an ACCOUNT.
To proceed – click in the box that states “I agree to these TRAIN policies” and then click NEXT
Once you select that you’ve agreed to the policies and selected NEXT your screen will prompt you to provide required information. You only need to fill in those lines marked with a red asterisk (*)
Please use the following information when filling out the form: (all other sections/lines should be your
personal information)
Organization name: APD Provider
Department/Division: Please use your license info (CNA, HHA, LPN, RN, etc.)
Address: Use your home/mailing address
Once you’ve completed the information on the screen click NEXT
Next you will need to select a “portal”, this is caregiver/provider specific. Under State Portal click on “SELECT GROUPS” .
Next, you will need to select an Affiliation. In the drop down screen select:
APD Providers – then SUBMIT
Next, you will need to choose a Professional Role; you can select up to 3.
CNA/HHA – Allied Health Professional (under the column titled “Value” make the appropriate
selection)
LPN/RN – Nurse (under the column titled “Value” make the appropriate selection)
Click SUBMIT to move to the next portion
Next, choose up to 3 work settings:
CNA/HHA – selection should be Healthcare Services
o Value – Home care
LPN/RN – selection should be Healthcare Services
o Value – Home care
Next, fill in the appropriate demographic information and click NEXT, OR skip over and click NEXT.
Next, if you have a FEMA Student ID enter the information, otherwise click NEXT and continue.
The next screen will prompt you to put in your Professional License Number, if you have one, otherwise click NEXT to continue.
Next, select the appropriate Professional Role and select CONTINUE.
YOUR ACCOUNT IS NOW CREATED!!!
Click on the HOME tab and now you can search, set up and begin the required training.
The HOME screen should look like this:
On the right side of the screen, in the SEARCH window type “APD” and click SEARCH or hit ENTER.
The screen will then show what Resources and/or Courses that are available under APD. To view more than 20 lines per page use the drop-down box in the lower left corner; all APD courses will then appear.
For ZERO TOLERANCE, the screen will appear as follows:
Select the “REGISTRATION” tab
To select the training, click REGISTER
ZERO TOLERANCE – When completing this set of modules the screen will prompt you to select which module.
The screen will open the corresponding module. To begin, select LAUNCH.
At the end of each module you will be expected to answer 2 questions. Simply select your response, click NEXT, select the second response and click SUBMIT. To move to the next module, close the tab.
Please click on the HERE link to return to the course details page.
On the next screen, select the BACK button
Once you’ve completed a module click on the “M” in the MANAGE portion of the screen for the module
you are logging as complete.
Mark the course “Completed” by selecting the COMPLETED button.
Your screen will now indicate the module is complete.
Once you have completed all 4 modules the above screen will indicate you need to complete an
ASSESSMENT. Please select the “Assessment” button, answer the questions and submit. Your score will
automatically appear. You must get an 85% in order to pass. If you do not pass, you can choose to go back and retake the assessment.
To locate your Certificate of Completion, go back to the HOME page, and click on My Certificates
Select the certificate you want to print and click on the PRINTER icon
