INTRODUCTION
Indian Academy of Highway Engineers (IAHE) is a registered Society under the
administrative control of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India. A
collaborative body of the Central and State Governments, IAHE was set up in the year 1983
with the primary objective of fulfilling the long standing need for training of Highway
Engineers at the entry level and during the service at all levels.
IAHE has been operationalized since April 1985 in a rented accommodation at Jor
Bagh, New Delhi and thereafter shifted to its own campus developed on 10 acres of land at
A-5, Institutional Area, Sector-62, NH-24 Bypass, NOIDA (UP) w.e.f. 01.10.2001.
IAHE is governed by a Governing Council. Hon’ble Minister, RT&H is President of Governing
Council. Hon’ble Minister of State, RT&H is Special Guest of the Council and Secretary,
RT&H is Vice President of the Council.
The affairs of IAHE is managed, administered, directed and controlled by a Governing
Body. Secretary, RT&H is Chairman of the Governing body and Director General (Road
Development) & Special Secretary is Vice Chairman of the Governing Body. Both the
Governing Council and Governing Body are represented by eminent engineers and
administrators of the country.
IAHE is the premium national training institute of the country for sharing of knowledge
and pooling of experience on the entire range of subjects dealing with planning, design,
construction, financing, operation, maintenance & management of highways.

NOTICE INVITING NOMINATIONS
IAHE is pleased to invite nominations from Central/State Governments Departments
including Public Sectors Undertakings/Corporations of the Governments and Private Sector
organizations for the calendar training porgrammes scheduled in the year 2020-21. The
training calendar for the year 2020-21 containing 31 nos. programmes and day wise
schedule of each of the programme is enclosed.
It will be highly appreciable if 4-5 officers are nominated by a Department/
PSUs/Corporation/ Private Sector in each calendar training porgramme keeping in view the
interest of officer for a particular subject work expectations from the officer in current posting
and level of officer indicated in training calendar. The detailed syllabus of each calendar
training programme is uploaded on IAHE’s web portal www.iahe.org.in.
The calendar training programmes are normally residential and are conducted at IAHE
campus. For the Officers from Central and State Government departments and PSUs /
Corporations of Central and State Governments, IAHE will not charge any fee for providing
training and boarding & lodging facilities in IAHE Hostel.
IAHE shall also reimburse the Travelling Allowance (TA) to the trainees (Officers from
Central and State Government departments and PSUs / Corporations of Central and State
Governments) as per the Central Government TA rules and procedure for reimbursement of
travelling bills.
Private Sector Organizations will be required to pay fee @ Rs. 5,000 per day per
participant + 18% GST against the nomination of their employees in the calendar training
porgrammes. This fee includes training expenses, boarding & lodging facilities in IAHE
Hostel. The travelling expenses for each participant will have to be borne by sponsoring
organizations.
Participants who wish to enroll for calendar training porgrammes on individual capacity
will be required to pay fee @ Rs 2,500 per day per participant + 18% GST. This fee

includes training expenses, boarding & lodging facilities at IAHE Hostel. The travelling
expenses will have to be borne by concerned individual.
The calendar training programme at sl. No. 18 i.e. Management Development
Programme for Senior Officers (CE & E-in-C) is an off-campus training programme. The
venue of the same will be informed in due course.
