Sept. 08 — Training for Marriage Preparation Ministry Class I (English)

Basic Theology of Marriage: Foundational class on the theology of marriage based on Pope Francis Apostolic Exhortation The Joy of Love (2016), and Marriage: Love and Life in the Divine Plan (2009) issued by the U.S. Bishops. The class is for couples, clergy, and lay ministers. Location: Morkovsky Hall Rm 204—2403 Holcombe Blvd Houston TX 77021 Time: 9 am to 4:30 pm Cost: $50 (Cost is per couple or person and includes books, and meals.) Sept. 22 — Training for Marriage Preparation Ministry Class II (English)

Sponsor Couple Training with For Better and Forever The nuts and bolts class of how to become a marriage preparation Sponsor Couple. Pre-requisite Class I Location: Morkovsky Hall Rm 204 -– 2403 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX 77021 Time: 9 am to 4:30 pm

Cost: $50 (Cost is per couple or person and includes books, and meals.) Instructors: Teresita Johnson & John and Sharon Harry Registration deadline: September 01

Oct. 13 — FOCCUS 4th Edition Facilitator Certification Training — (English)

FOCCUS is an on-line or paper and pencil premarital inventory for use in marriage prep. Every person using FOCCUS must be a trained and registered facilitator on the FOCCUS website. Location: St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston TX 77025. Jamail Family Life Center. Time: 9 am– 4:30 pm Cost: $100 (includes training materials, light breakfast and lunch. Clergy discount 25%) Instructor: Deacon Dan Pagnano Registration deadline: September 22

Nov. 09 — Prepare-Enrich Facilitator Certification Training – (English)

Prepare-Enrich is an on-line relationship assessment tool for use with premarital couples for marriage preparation and can also be used for enrichment with married couples who wish to explore their strengths and ways to become closer. Location: St. Dominic Center Chancery Building Rm 140 Time: 9:30 am– 4:30 pm

Cost: $100 (includes training materials, morning refreshments & lunch) Clergy discount 25% Instructor: Teresita Johnson, MA PS, CMF Family Life Ministry
