“This visit to India has given me a very broad knowledge not only on entrepreneurship development but the knowledge that is more relevant to my work as a CDW. So I would like to thank the government of India, the Eastern Cape MEC, and the entire management of the department for affording me this opportunity to be exposed to this programme. For me to be able to add value to the work I do not only for my ward but for the benefit of the entire Eastern Cape province.”

“I now have a practical understanding of contemporary participatory development approaches to rural development. I was exposed to techniques such as social ranking, social auditing; and innovative approaches to community mobilisation and monitoring and evaluation. These are skills that I have already started to apply in my ward”
