Polyurethane Waterproofing – Application Tips
The surface to be coated should be cleaned by mechanical wire brushing / abrasive blasting equipment, followed by vacuum cleaning, to ensure it is free of loose particle, surface contaminants such as dust, laitance, curing compound, etc., detrimental to bond of coating.
Cracks in concrete if any, shall be sealed with prepacked, polymer modified Cementitious mortar and allowed to dry completely.
Application of PU coating system shall be done by roller, squeegee or airless spray equipment.
Polyurethane Waterproofing – Application Tips
Mixing: Single component system shall be stirred well before application and two component system should be mixed (Part A & B) using a slow speed heavy duty drilling machine fitted with mixing paddle until a homogenous mix is obtained (approx 3 minutes)
Application: Required thickness of coating can be achieved by one or two coats and care should be exercised a uniform continuous coat is done. For two coat application, each coat should be perpendicular to each other and one after another dries up completely. For recoating 10 to 14 hours curing time to be given (Depending on atmospheric temperature)
Thickness on vertical surfaces shall be achieved by multiple pass.

Acrylic Waterproofing – Application Tips
The surface to be coated should be clean, free of loose particle, surface contaminants such as dust, laitance, oil, curing compound, etc., detrimental for bonding of acrylic coating.
Prior to application, ensure that all surfaces are dry.
Application shall be done by roller or airless spray equipment.
The single component shall be fixed and applied over the prepared surface @ two coats, one after another dries up completely. Curing time between recoats Min 4 hours.
At right angle bends, the coating shall be carried over to the top face.
The second application shall be perpendicular to the first coat

Cementitious Waterproofing – Application Tips
The surface to be coated should be clean, free of loose particle, surface contaminants such as dust, laitance, oil, curing compound, etc., detrimental for bonding of Cementitious coating.
Spalled and deeply disintegrated concrete, if any should be removed to sound concrete and reinstated with CMCI repair mortar.
All surfaces to be coated shall be pre-wetted with clean water.
Cementitious Waterproofing – Application Tips
The liquid component shall be pored into a larger container (25 Lt capacity) and the powder component shall be mixed with the liquid component using slow speed heavy duty drill fitted with paddle. Care should be exercised to mix gradually the powder component to the liquid to avoid lump formation and mix for 3 to 5 minutes.
The mixed material shall be applied using a brush / roller @ 1mm wft per coat and a minimum of two coats is recommended
Coating should be applied one after another dries up completely and at right angle to each other. Curing time between recoats 4 to 5 hours.
Grouts Grouts are specially designed for load
transfer. They are classified based on the base material and CMCI range included cementitious, epoxy and polyester resin grouts
Cementitious grouts are designed for static and light dynamic loading and epoxy grouts are designed for high dynamic loading, impact and chemical resistance. Selection / Comparison of grouts is mainly based on strength aspects.

Sealants
Cemtec 30A
Single component moisture curing PU sealant, is user and environmental friendly and its superior property makes it suitable for precast concrete panel joints, bridge culverts, retaining wall joints, caulking of doors and window frames edges. The adhesion, tensile peel strength makes it practically suit for sealing / caulking of any substrate of concrete, wood, aluminum and PVC.
Fast curing property of Cemtec 30 A enables paintability after full cure. Apart from this the excellent chemical and micro organism resistance characteristics and wide temperature sustainability makes it potent for use at difficult environment.
Polyurethane Sealant
Surface (sides of joint) shall be thoroughly cleaned to ensure the same is free of dust, loose particles, laitance, rust scale and any oily substance etc.
Surface should be dry before application of the sealant.
Install joint filler to achieve correct joint depth and shape
Use sealant gun to apply the sealant for Cemtec 30 A and Gun grade sealants
Two component sealant should be mixed using heavy duty slow speed, hand held mixing machine fitted with suitable paddle, until a homogenous mix is obtained and poured directly in to the joint in case of PG and placed with sealant gun in case of GG
Sealants – Application Tips
Once the joint is filled with sealant, immediately it should be firmly flush with a tool to ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrates
Tool exposed sealant surfaces to give slightly concave shape
Remove excess compound promptly as work progresses and on completion
Masking tape should be used to have a neat finish

Mix the epoxy tile grout and spread on joint using sharp edged float and ensured full packing
Excess grout shall be removed off the tile surface using the float.
