Being C-TPAT certified allows our shipping containers to bypass the security-related delays at the ports of entry.

Our certification means that our supply chain is secure throughout; from the manufacturing facility, through the

ports and on to the final destination.

Q. “How much time can be saved by being C-TPAT certified”?

There are many factors involved, but the government estimates that non-certified shipments are 3.5 times

more likely to be delayed by security inspection. Also, should a C-TPAT certified shipment be randomly

chosen for inspection, it is given priority status and is moved to the front of the existing queue for inspection.

Q: “Is it easy to become C-TPAT certified”?

Actually, it is a very comprehensive process that can take years to complete. There are a series of site visits

throughout the supply chain, reference checks, paperwork, fees and even a personal interview. C-TPAT certified

companies must permanently adhere to strict policies in order to maintain certification.
