Ithaca College and SUNY Broome Community College (SUNY BCC), in recognition ofmutual value to their students and their institutions provided by a clear pathway for transfer students between the two colleges, have created a transfer articulation agreement.

OBJECTIVES:

1. To encourage the transfer ofqualified students with a Business Administration A.S. degree from SUNY BCC to Ithaca College.

2. To award a block ofacademic credit for courses completed at SUNY BCC that meets the terms ofthe Business Administration A.S., for application toward the requirements of the Integrative Core Curriculum (ICC), which is pa1t ofany bachelor's degt'ee at Ithaca College.

3, To provide effective and concise guidelines for students seeking to transfer to Ithaca College. Students will have accurate and clear infol'mation regarding the transfer oftheir courses and c1·edits toward a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Ithaca College.

TERMS OF THE TRANSFER AGREEMENT:

1. Applicants who completed a Business Admi11istration A.S. degl'ee at SUNY BCC with coursework related to the major with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of2.75 or higher will ordinarily be admitted to the bachelor's degree program in Business Administrntion or Accounting, No grade less than C- will be accepted for transfer to Ithaca College.

2. Ithaca College major related coursework will be granted according to the appended list of equivalent courses or as general elective credit.

3. Ithaca College will treat the genernl education requirements from the earned Business Administration A.S. degree at SUNY BCC as meeting the general education requirements (Integrative Core Cuniculum) at Ithaca College. Accepted transfer students holding such a degree will be considered to have completed all ofthe Ithaca College Integrative Core Curriculum requirements except for: the transfer seminar (required ofall Ithaca College transfer students), the elect1·onic learning portfolio, the ICC Complementat·y Liberal Arts, and the ICC Capstone,

4. SUNY BCC transfer students will be subject to all other course prerequisites and degree requkements at Ithaca College as set forth in the Ithaca College Undergraduate Catalog.

5. All courses completed at SUNY BCC, other than those applied as a block to the Integrative Core Curdculum or according to the appended list ofequivalent courses, will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis and transfer to Ithaca College pl'ovided a gl'ade of C- (1.70) or higher has been eamed.

6. This agt'eement shall be in effect for three years from the date of signature. and will be reviewed and renewed on an annual basis thereafter. The Ithaca College School of Business Dean's Office will review the appended list ofequivalent courses yearly. Each institution agrees to provide timely notice to the other in the event ofany modification to the curriculum that may 1·easonably be expected to affect compatibility for admission and transfer ofcourses. Either institution may discontinue the ag1·eement at any time by 90 days' official written notice to the Office ofthe Provost at the other institution.

7. This agreement is subject to change, without notice, ifthe New York State Education Department (NYSBD) mandates relevant degree requirement changes.

8. Ithaca College, at the discretion ofthe studenes dean or program director) accepts credit from other established soUl'ces, such as Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP)) General and Subject Examinations, New York ACT, and educational experiences in the armed services, Test results should be sent to the Office of the Registrnr. All credits are converted to semester credit hours, ifthey are not already so designated

9. Students applying for transfer to Ithaca College must meet all other general admission requirements in effect at the time of their application, including but not limited to: a completed 0111ine Common Application with required essay, official high school transcl'ipt, official t1·anscripts from SUNY BCC and all other colleges/universities attended, letter of recommendation/academic evaluation, and application fee,

I0. This agreement is subject to the following general provisions:

• This agreement contains the sole and entire agreement ofthe parties as to the subject matter hereof and fully and correctly sets forth the rights, duties and obligations of each party in respect thereof as of the date of this agreement. All pl'ior agreements, promises, negotiations, communications or understandings of the patties with respect to the subject matter hereo~ whether written or oral, are merged and superseded hereby.

• This agreement may be executed ln any number ofduplicate counterpa1ts, each of which shall be deemed an original and all of which together shall constitute the same instrument.
