Trash liners (CLEAR or BLACK)

Recycling liners (BLUE)

Ozone Spray Bottle

#15 Clean by Peroxy Spray Bottle

+Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Safety Glasses

Pants & Long Sleeves

Nitrile Safety Gloves

Shoes with good Tread

+STEP 1: Wear PPE

Wear long sleeves and pants

Wear shoes with good tread

Wear Safety glasses

Wear Nitrile Safety Gloves.

+STEP 2: Prepare Equipment, Supplies, & Chemicals

Ensure cart is well stocked

Clear or Black bags for trash

Blue bags for recycling

Microfiber green cloth

Ozone spray bottle

OR #15 Clean by Peroxy Spray bottle

+STEP 2: Prepare Equipment, Supplies, & Chemicals

Use barrel on wheels or utility cart for large loads & to prevent spills & leaks

Place any color bag into the carts. You will sort them later at the Dumpster, Toter, Chute, or Compactor.

Remove clear or black trash liners from receptacles and place in cart, barrel, or utility cart

Tie a knot on these bags because you will not need to empty them later

Reline the receptacle with a clear liner

+STEP 4: Collect Recycling

Remove blue recycling liners from receptacles and place in cart, barrel, or utility cart

Do not tie a knot on these liners so that you can empty them later

Reline the receptacle with a blue liner

+STEP 5: Clean Receptacle

Spray

Then ….

Look for any snow, ice, or slippery ground between you and the dumpster & wear proper shoes!

Use barrel on wheels or utility cart

for large loads & to

prevent spills & leaks

STEP 6: Transport Trash & Recycling Awareness

+Step 7: Empty Trash

(1) Place cart or bags on ground so that your hands are empty

(2) Open (A) Dumpster side-door OR (B) Dumpster Lid OR (C) Toter Lid OR (D) Wall Chute

(3) Carefully place trash in Trash OR (D) Compactor Door

(1) Place cart or bags on ground so that your hands are empty

(2) Open (A) Dumpster side-door OR (B) Dumpster Lid OR (C) Toter Lid OR (D) Wall Chute

(3) Carefully EMPTY recycling OR (E) Compactor Door

from Blue Bags into Dumpster Toter, or Compactor

+Step 7: Empty Shredded Paper

Shredded Paper

Place Bags of Shredded paper directly into the Recycling Dumpster, Toter, Shute, or Compactor

+Step 8: Return Equipment

Barrels & Utility carts should be cleaned & returned to storage areas

Nitrile gloves should be removed and thrown in trash before proceeding to the next task

Empty blue recycling bags should be thrown away with the trash
