11- the descriptions of the present catalogue have been meticulously realized by our technical team which guaranteed his condition and genuineness, in any case, if some not mentioned fault was concerning someone of the pieces this one will be able to be returned in the space of ten days, if it was necessary to submit to the consideration of some expert´s committee someone of the pieces the term it will spread up to thirty days. The expenses of certification will be at the expense of the buyer. iberphil offers his services and professional knolegde to make this work. into the lots that avenge described by the expression “a eXamiNar” returns will not be admitted, it is for it that bids ask to abstain from being expressed by them if it has not been checked previously and in addition one agrees in his state and in this condition.

12- iberphil offers the possibility of examining the philatelic pieces in a particular domicile, for it the possible buyer will have to credit a bank guarantee or commercial reference, taking charge of all the inherent expenses and promising to return the material the following day of the receipt for the same way of parcel used by iberphil. lots and collections are not included.

13- any litigation will be submitted to the courts of madrid, and the buyer resigns expressly any other jurisdiction that could correspond him.

1- todas las ventas se considerarán al contado y en euros, iva incluído y some-tido al régimen especial de bienes usados. Según obliga la legislación comuni-taria el impuesto del iva no podrá ser desglosado, las ventas se considerarán a todos los efectos realizadas en territorio español.

2- El precio total de venta incluirá un 20% sobre el precio de adjudicación. Las piezas filatélicas serán enviadas aseguradas por su valor total mediante co-rreo certificado o mensajería, los gastos de envío y seguro correspondientes serán por cuenta del comprador.

3- Para los clientes que no puedan asistir personalmente a la sala ofrece-mos el servicio de orden de puja, los lotes son vendidos al precio más bajo posible, prevaleciendo la orden de puja sobre la sala, en caso de coincidencia con las órdenes de puja se dará prioridad a la recibida en nuestras instalaciones anteriormente.

Los incrementos se ajustarán como norma general de la siguiente forma: entre 0€ y 50€ se aplica un incremento de 2€ entre 51€ y 100€ se aplica un incremento de 5€ entre 101€ y 200€ se aplica un incremento de 10€ entre 201€ y 500€ se aplica un incremento de 20€ entre 501€ y 1000€ se aplica un incremento de 50€ entre 1001€ y 3000€ se aplica un incremento de 100€ a partir de 3001€ se aplica un incremento mínimo de 250€ a modo de aclaración y para que esta condición resulte más explícita incluí-

mos el siguiente ejemplo. Un lote con un precio de salida de 1000€ por que el que se recibe una orden de puja de 2500€, no significa que este vaya a ser

el precio de adjudicación sino que se compararán con las órdenes recibidas anteriormente y con las de la sala, pongamos como ejemplo que la más alta fuera de 1600€, de este modo el precio de adjudicación será de 1700€.

4- La orden de puja deberá ser remitida por correo, fax, email o telefónicamente, en este último caso le rogamos lo reconfirme por algún medio escrito. No se admitirán importes inferiores al precio de salida y estos deberán ser hechos en euros

5- cualquier forma de pago diferente al pago al contado debe ser negociada previamente, en este supuesto iberphil mantendrá en su poder las piezas filatélicas hasta su total liquidación.

6- Solamente para el caso de ventas en subasta se cargará un 2% adicional en caso de pago mediante tarjeta de crédito VISA o MASTERCARD.

7- Se cobrará una comisión del 0´50% mensual sobre el saldo deudor, en el momento de sobrepasar los treinta días de demora en el pago.

8- cualquier pago efectuado en una divisa diferente será regularizado por el contravalor aplicado por nuestra entidad bancaria.

9- iberphil se reserva el derecho de anular la venta y disponer de los lotes cuando el comprador no haya satisfecho el pago dentro de los treinta días posteriores a la realización de la subasta, sin que este hecho suponga la renuncia a sus derechos y consiguientes reclamaciones.

10- iberphil se reserva el derecho de admisión a la sala de subasta, así como la de declinar cualquier orden de puja que pueda alterar el normal desarrollo de la subasta. Iberphil tendrá potestad para anular, reunificar o alterar el orden

de venta de aquellos lotes que a su criterio resulte más oportuno.11- las descripciones del presente catálogo han sido meticulosamente realiza-

das por nuestro equipo técnico el cual garantiza su estado y autenticidad, en cualquier caso, si algún defecto no mencionado afectara a alguna de las piezas esta podrá ser devuelta en el plazo de diez días, si fuera nece-sario someter a la consideración de algún Comité de Expertos alguna de las piezas el plazo se extenderá hasta los treinta días. los gastos de certificación serán por cuenta del comprador. Iberphil ofrece sus servicios y relaciones profesionales para encargarse de esta gestión. en los lotes que vengan descritos por la expresión “a eXamiNar” no se admitirán devoluciones, es por ello que rogamos abstenerse de emitir pujas por ellos si no se ha revisado con anterioridad y además se está de acuerdo en su estado y en esta condición.

12- Iberphil ofrece la posibilidad de examinar las piezas filatélicas en un do-micilio particular, para ello el posible comprador deberá acreditar una garantía bancaria o referencia comercial, haciéndose cargo de todos los gastos inherentes y comprometiéndose a devolver el material al día siguiente de su recepción por el mismo medio de envío utilizado por iberphil. lotes y colecciones no incluidos.

13- cualquier litigio será sometido a los tribunales de madrid, y el comprador renuncia expresamente a cualquier otro fuero que pudiera corresponderle.

Si tuviera que definir en pocas palabras el contenido del catálogo que tienen en sus manos, aseguraría simplemente que se trata de un verdadero manual de Historia. estos días, en los que todo el equipo de iberPHil hemos disfrutado preparando esta maravillosa colección, una de las conclusiones a las que, entre café y café, hemos llegado es que sería un texto perfecto para introducirse en la disciplina histórica... uno enseguida se da cuenta de que la visión de la Historia Postal, observada desde la perspectiva militar, refleja el pasado de un país, porque el devenir de la humanidad ha ido siempre ligado, en gran parte, a las guerras entre imperios, naciones y territorios.

La Historia Postal ha sido, pues, el objeto de su colección e investigación, y, dentro de ella, la militar. Sellos, marcas y cuños, grabados, mapas, cartas privadas y oficiales… Todo un universo de fuentes que añaden aún más valor a la extraordinaria colección que hoy presentamos, protagonista de la última obra del autor: “Ejércitos y Campañas. Testimonios postales de la Historia de España” (2 tomos), editada por ediFil.

en esta colección se estudia con enorme profusión el periodo que abarca desde el siglo Xviii hasta nuestros días, y ese repaso postal es también el de nuestra propia historia. Contempla la participación del ejército español en los distintos conflictos y periodos políticos de nuestro país, tales como las guerras napoleónicas y las carlistas, las guerras coloniales, la i y la II República o la Guerra Civil. If I had to define in a few words the content of the catalog in your hands, I would simply ensure that it is a true History textbook. These days, in which the whole Iberphil team has enjoyed preparing this wonderful col-lection, one of the conclusions reached in front of a cup of coffee, is that it would be a perfect text to introduce anyone into the historical discipline ... One immediately realizes that the vision of Postal History, observed from the military perspective, reflects the past of a coun-try because the evolution of humanity has always been largely linked to wars between empires, nations and territories.

This catalog is a tribute to Armando Fernández-Xesta, passionate creator of which is undoubtedly one of the best European military archives, being this collection a relevant part of those archives.

Armando Fernandez-Xesta always maintained a dou-ble interest in philately: the purely philatelic and the historical. That is, philately as a valuable tool for under-standing the historical facts, and the study of History to know and contextualize the postal pieces. Postal History has therefore been the object of his collection and research, and within it, the military. Stamps, post-marks, seals, prints, maps, private and official letters ... A universe of sources that add even more value to the extraordinary collection presented today, protagonist of the latest work by the author : “Ejércitos y Campañas. Testimonios postales de la Historia de España” (2 vol-umes), edited by EDIFIL.

In this collection, the period from the eighteenth century to the present day, is deeply studied and the postal review is also that of our own History. It takes into account the participation of the Spanish army in the various conflicts and political periods of our country, such as the Napoleonic, Carlistas and Colonial wars, the 1st and 2nd Republic or the Spanish Civil War. We wanted to present the collection by military periods, keeping intact the study of each of them without splitting them to keep alive the spirit of the collector.

Espectacular colección-estudio de los servicios postales utilizados generalmente en época de guerra o con fines militares entre los siglos XV y Xviii, separado por periodos. del siglo Xv, se incluye una carta fechada en lerma en 1421, en la que se detallan aspectos sobre el correo del Rey, Don Juan II de Castilla, que se valía de "peones" y "recueros" para enviar sus cartas. También sobresale un extenso apartado de Corres-pondencia real en el que destaca una carta remitida por carlos i de españa fechada en augsburgo en 1548; una carta remitida por Felipe ii fechada en San lorenzo de el escorial en 1591, así como otras de los reyes Felipe iii y Felipe iv. otro de los apartados representados es la correspondencia oficial o "Sello negro", establecido después de la reforma Borbónica del Servicio de Correos, en el que destacan algunas piezas entre 1767 y 1788, la mayoría correspondencia militar. Spectacular collection-study of postal services generally used in wartime or military purposes between the fifteenth and eighteenth cen-turies separated by periods, the fifteenth century, is a letter of Lerma in 1421, with details of King Don Juan II of Castile´s post , who was using "peones" and "recueros" to send the letters. la primera guerra carlista se inició con el levantamiento de partidas carlistas en el País vasco y Navarra y pronto controlaron el medio rural, aunque ciudades como bilbao, San Sebastián, vitoria y Pamplona per-manecerán fieles a Isabel II y al liberalismo. La vacilación del gobierno permitió a los carlistas, con gran apoyo popular, organizar la guerra con el método de guerrillas, hasta que el general Zumalacarregui organiza un ejército en territorio vasco-navarro, y el general Cabrera unifica las parti-das aragonesas y catalanas. la primera guerra carlista tiene un trasfondo político que se materializa en dos personas con derecho al trono cada una de ellas. Fernando vii (1784-1833), rey de españa, se había casado en 1802 con María Victoria de Nápoles, que después de dos abortos murió sin descendencia. en segundas nupcias, el rey desposo a su sobrina Isabel de Bragaza, que dio a luz a una niña que murió después de los cuatro meses de vida, falleciendo al poco tiempo la reina. insistió el rey y en 1819 su esposa, ya la tercera, fue María Josefa Amalia de Sajonia, que tampoco le dio hijos al trono español. Finalmente, en 1829, se casó con otra de sus sobrinas maría cristina de borbón-dos Sicilias, teniendo por fin descendencia, Isabel (1830-1904) y Luisa Fernanda (1832-1897). antes del nacimiento de isabel, el heredero del trono era carlos maría isidro, hermano de Fernando vii, pero todo cambió cuando el rey tuvo descendencia femenina. entonces se publicó la pragmática sanción de Carlos IV que cambiaba la ley en vigor permitiendo a una mujer heredar el trono de españa, rompiendo una norma con siglos de historia. don Carlos entró en España y se puso al frente del ejército dirigiéndose hacia Madrid, objetivo que no consiguió. Este recibió el apoyo de armas de rusia, austria y Prusia, aunque isabel ii contó con el apoyo de ingla-terra, Francia y Portugal, favorables a la implantación de un liberalismo moderado en españa. la muerte de zumalacárregui en 1835 durante el sitio a bilbao inició una reacción liberal. el general espartero venció a las tropas carlistas en Luchana en 1836 y el último periodo del con-flicto estuvo marcado por la iniciativa del ejército liberal al mando de espartero y la división de los carlistas entre los partidarios de llegar a un acuerdo con los liberales. mediante el convenio de vergara de 1839, los generales Maroto y Espartero firmaron la paz, y acordaron mantener los fueros en las provincias vascas y Navarra e integrar a la oficialidad carlista en el ejército liberal. Las partidas de los intransigentes dirigidas por Cabrera continuaron la guerra en la zona del Maestrazgo aragonés hasta su derrota en 1840.

Nacido en tauste (zaragoza), fue diputado provincial por el partido progresista muy bien relacionado en el círculo liberal de zaragoza. tomó parte en el pronunciamiento de zaragoza de 1843 y participó en la Expedición a Portugal, lo que le valió la faja de Mariscal de Campo. En los sucesivos años, con motivo de su exilio a Francia y algunos desacuerdos políticos y militares, fue simpatizando por el bando carlista, hasta su unión a la causa en favor del Pretendiente don carlos. Fue condenado a muerte por un tribunal militar el día 17 de abril de 1860 y fusilado al día siguiente, pocos días antes del apresamiento del Pretendiente carlos y su hermano Fernando.

Born in Tauste (Zaragoza), was a very well conected provincial deputy for the progressive party in the Liberal circle of Zaragoza. He took part in the uprising of Zaragoza in 1843 and par-ticipated in the expedition to Portugal, which earned him the belt of Field Marshal and in successive years, on the occasion of his exile to France and some political and military disagreements was sympathizing by Carlista side until his union to the cause in favor of the President Don Carlos. 1 real brown. LA SEO DE URGELL to SANTO DOMINGO (DOMINICAN REPUBLIC). In 1861, General Pedro Santana had wrested the presi-dency of Buenaventura Baez, who had broken the Treasury of the Nation. Faced with an economic crisis, and the possibility of a new attack by Haiti, Santana asked Spain to regain control of its former possession, under the category of province, with only 17 years of Independence. At first, the Spanish monarchy was concerned, but with a busy United States with their own civil war and unable to enforce the Monroe Doctrine, was considered an opportunity to reassert control in Latin America. On March 18, 1861, the annexation was announced, and Santana became General Governor of the newly established jurisdiction, relinquishing to his position in January 1862. Meanwhile, Spain had issued a royal order in January 1862 stating its intention to recover the territories that Toussaint Louverture had taken for Haiti in 1794. In an attempt to put down the unrest in Dominican, Spanish troops had evicted Haitians living in these areas along the Haitian-Dominican border. Haitian President Fabre Geffrard resigned his neutrality position and began helping the Dominican rebels. It starts the so-called War of the Restoration in 1863 ending in June 1865, with the withdrawal of Spanish troops. la tercera guerra carlista se inició una vez destronada isabel ii, ya en el Sexe-nio Revolucionario. Beneficiados por el clima de libertad que introdujo la revolución de "la Gloriosa", el carlismo había revivido como fuerza política. Pero la llegada de amadeo de Saboya provocó la insurrección armada de una parte de los carlistas, mientras que otra facción constituyó una pequeña fuerza política opuesta a la nueva monarquía y con posiciones enorme-mente conservadoras. el pretendiente esta vez era carlos maría de borbón, y el conflicto acabará con la definitiva derrota del carlismo durante los pri-meros años del reinado de alfonso Xii. los generales martínez campos y el general Fernando Primo de rivera derrotaron a los carlistas en cataluña, Navarra y País Vasco. El 28 de Febrero de 1876 finalizan las guerras carlistas. tras ellas el carlismo moderado se separaría para siempre de la corriente levantisca para formar una opción política alternativa al liberalismo. en las cortes de 1869, el carlismo obtuvo una veintena de diputados y en las posteriores legislativas sus resultados fueron aún mejores. Sin embargo, la subida al trono español de la casa de Saboya introdujo un elemento de turbación que terminaría por imponer la opción armada. la restauración borbónica en la figura de Alfonso XII marcaría el declive carlista en la guerra hasta la derrota final en 1876. El infante don Carlos cruzaba la frontera al grito de "Volveré". Su buen liderazgo había sentado las bases de un carlismo moderado y, en 1888, las dos corrientes se separarían para siempre. a partir de este momento, los carlistas se dividen y abandonan las armas definitiva-mente. unos acaban reconociendo a alfonso Xii y se integran en el sistema. otros que siguen a cándido Nocedal, mantuvieron su ideología tradicio-nal y antiliberal, y acabaron creando un partido, el partido carlista, que con cambios ideológicos importantes, ha llegado hasta nuestros días. otros, se integraron en partidos nacionalistas del País vasco y cataluña.

The third Carlist War started once ISABEL II was dethroned, in the Rev-olutionary Sexeny. Benefited from the climate of freedom that the "Glo-rious" revolution introduced, Carlism had revived as a political force. But the arrival of Amadeo of Savoy led the armed insurrection of part of the Carlists, while another faction formed a small political force opposed to the new monarchy with extremely conservative positions. The pretender this time was Carlos María de Borbón, and the conflict will end with the final defeat of Carlism during the early years of the reign of Alfonso XII. Entre finales de 1893 y principios de 1894, España se vió envuelta, en la zona de Melilla, en una guerra de proporciones mínimas, como consecuencia de la construcción de un fuerte en las inmediaciones de la mezquita de Sidi aguariach. la oposición de los habitantes locales se transformó en esporádicos ataques armados hasta que la llegada de importantes contingentes de tropas españolas a melilla obligó a los marroquíes a aceptar unos acuerdos favorables a las pretensiones españolas. como había ocurrido en anteriores contiendas, se concedió franquicia postal a las fuerzas expedicionarias en melilla, bastando para ello la estampación en los sobres del cuño de la unidad del remitente. Sin embargo, para limitar los envíos de correspondencia a la Península, las autoridades militares decidieron entregar a cada soldado un numero determinado de sellos, con la indicación de franquicia. tales sellos fueron donados por el industrial de alcoy don miguel rodríguez Sánchez, quien confeccionó nada menos que cincuenta y tres efectos distintos, unos de carácter general y otros para los diferentes cuerpos y unidades, así como para los buques de la escuadra de operaciones y los fuertes del perimetro defensivo de la plaza.

Between the end of 1893 and early 1894 Spain became involved in a minimal proportions war in the area of Melilla, as a result of the construction of a fort in the vicinity of the Sidi Aguariach mosque. The opposition of the local inhabitants became sporadic armed attacks until the arrival of large contingents of Spanish troops to Melilla forced the Moroccans to accept a pro-Spanish claims agreements.
