VeniceVenice, located in northern Italy, is known for its many waterways, as well as its culture, artwork and architecture. It has been described as the most beautiful city built by man and one of Europe’s most romantic cities.

The canal is lined with beautiful buildings as the “Doge’s Palace”, Venice’s doges (dukes) were elected from their aristocratic peers, after which their whole lives were subsumed by the state. Venice was all about shimmering exteriors concealing hard-nosed commercial or administrative activity. It has an immense meeting halls and

formal reception rooms with acres of canvases by Tintoretto

Lions are the symbol of Venice, and lion statues can be seen in various places throughout the city. To add an element of fun, children on the walk compete to determine who finds the most lions on the orientation, all while learning historical facts regarding Venice.

Venice has beautiful churches like Santa Maria GloriosadeiFrari which is one of the greatest churches in Venice;some of which date back as far as the 13th century. You’ll also see the Rialto Bridge that was the only bridge to cross the canal until the 19th century and was mentioned in Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice”.

Love in Venice

If Venice was a city of lust it is also the city of sublime love, love that is nice, pure and romantic. You have the opportunity to glide the canals in a covered Gondola, serenaded perhaps by a lovely Italian tenor voice or to participate in the masked carnival makes it a popular choice of honeymooners and even those who partake in illicit liaisons.

THE CITY OF LIGHTS

The city of lights, the city of love and a city of fashion—Paris draws millions of visitors every year with its unforgettable ambience. Of course, the divine cuisine and vast art collections deserve some of the credit as well.

Furthermore, the Louvre Museum is one of the not-to-miss sights in Paris, possibly the most famous in the world with a fabulous collection. It's here that you'll find a trio of greats—the enigmaticMona Lisa, the curvaceousVenus de Milo, and the headlessWinged Victory ofSamothrace. It is housed in the Louvre Palace, once the residence of France´s royal family; as well as the Notre Dame Cathedral that is one of the first Gothic cathedrals ever built. Construction started in 1163 and lasted for almost two decades. From the lookout at the north tower you have a great view over the city.

Not all doesn´t ends there, the Versailles Palace started as a modest hunting lodge was expanded into the world´s most famous palace, a model for all future European palaces.

HOLI: FESTIVAL OF COLOURSBy: Mariabelén Segovia

Holi is an annual festival also known as the Festival of Colors that is celebrated with elephant sports, loud parades, music, dance and colored powder wars to welcome the season of spring and to commemorate various Hindu legends.

Holi is celebrated with the same enthusiasm all over India, but Jaipur in March (the second week) is one of the best places to see it.

This exuberant festival is associated with the immortal love between Lord Krishna and her wife Radha.

The meeting between visitors and local people can be compare with a battle that seemed to last a lifetime, although it probably only last for 20 minutes. Finally, all the revelers are covered from head to toe with many bright colors that represent energy, life, and joy such as the electric blue, canary yellow, Barbie doll pink and lime green.

There is no age limit to celebrated this colorful and dynamic festival everyone can participate: kids, adults and elderly people; even cows, the "holiest" of all Hindu creatures, are not safe during the celebration.

Long-sleeve shirts, pants, and a layer of sun block help minimize skin staining, but count on that your clothes at the end of the festival would be useless.

So don´t forget to participate in Holi because this unforgettablefestival, quite literally, will color your trip!

HawaiiSay aloha to the paradise

There’s no place on earth like Hawaii. Whether this is your first visited or you are coming back, this six unique islands offer distinct experiences that will entice any traveler. They warmly invite you to explore them and discover your ideal travel experience.

Page 10: Travel magazine

Hawaii Is the most recent of the 50 U.S. states (joined the Union on August 21, 1959), and is the only U.S. state made up entirely of islands. It is the northernmost island group in Polynesia, occupying most of an archipelago in the central Pacific Ocean.

The six Islands of Aloha are home to treasures unlike any other on earth: The dramatic cliffs of the Napali Coast on Kauai, the vibrant shores of Waikiki Beach on Oahu, the miles of white sands of Papohaku Beach on Molokai, the

dolphin friendly waters of Hulopoe Bay on Lanai, the summit of Haleakala on Maui, the primal energy of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii Island. It won’t be easy choosing which island to visit on your first trip to Hawaii, but you’ll find there are no wrong answers.

If you are passionate about nature and adrenaline Molokini is for you without any doubt. It is the most popular snorkeling site in all of Hawaii. The

reason is simple it has the clearest waters in Hawaii, teaming with beautiful fish. On most days visibility is between 80 and 200 feet.

The only way to get to Molokini is by boat and Maui has plenty of boats in all sizes, shapes and price ranges.

If you love history you have to do the Pearl Harbor Tour, it is one of the most tragic and also most victorious hours came with the surprise attack by Japan on Pearl Harbor in 1941. You can celebrate the valor and honor of our veterans with a visit to this seaport in person and relive the events of this historical place as you view the USS Arizona, still in her final resting place. The monument and museum offer video presentations, displays and actual memorabilia salvaged from the attack. Pearl Harbor continues to be one of Oahu's most popular attractions. From here, you'll visit "Mighty Mo," the USS Missouri battleship at Fort Island Bridge where the treaty ending World War II was signed.

The diverse culture of Hawaii is expressed in (among other things) language, music, art, theater, dance, film, cuisine, and a multitude of festivals.

A large proportion of Hawaii's population is now of Asian background (especially Chinese, Japanese and Filipino.) Many are descendants of those immigrants brought to work on the sugar plantations in the 1850s and after. The first 153 Japanese immigrants arrived in Hawaii on June 19, 1868.

The

state of Hawaii has two official languages recognized in its 1978 constitution: English and Hawaiian although it exist many dialects but they had disappeared over time, only 2000 people speak it, less than 0.1% of the total population.
