The $3,550 cost of the 12-day trip includes round-trip air and land transportation, 3- and 4-star double-occupancy hotel rooms, full medical and travel insurance, local guides, private tour manager and deluxe motor coach and admission to all activities on the itinerary. It also includes full breakfast daily, specialty meals and three free days.

Clarkson College ATA: Switzerland & France Day 1: Sunday, April 28 Depart Our adventure begins as we board our transatlantic flight to Geneva. IF1 Day 2: Monday, April 29 Lausanne2 Upon landing in Geneva, we meet our motor coach and take an hour’s drive to a city on Lake Geneva, Lausanne. Our local guide introduces us to the important sites, including the International Olympic Committee Headquarters, Olympic Museum, and Olympic Park. We also visit Lausanne’s magnificent Gothic cathedral, which dates to 1275. Day 3: Tuesday, April 30 Lausanne We begin our day in Gruyère at La Maison du Gruyère cheese factory and then to nearby Broc to tour La Maison Callier Chocolate factory. We drive to Vevey to enjoy a wine-tasting lunch at a local restaurant there. The rest of the day is free to explore Lausanne on our own. B, L Day 4: Wednesday, May 1 Lausanne Today we visit a local hospital, with the rest of the day free to explore Lausanne on our own. B Day 5: Thursday, May 2 Beaune This morning we enjoy beautiful lakeside scenery en route to the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Geneva. After lunch, we continue to Beaune, a walled medieval town in the wine country of Burgundy. B Day 6: Friday, May 3 Beaune We are treated to a tour of Beaune this morning, including Hôtel Dieu, the famous medieval hospice. The rest of the day is free to explore Beaune on our own. B Day 7: Saturday, May 4 Paris Today we drive through the luscious French countryside with a stop in Auxerre for lunch and free time to explore the 4th-largest city in Burgundy. Then it’s on to Paris, our home for the next five nights. B Day 8: Sunday, May 5 Paris Today we enjoy a panoramic tour that includes a visit to Notre-Dame Cathedral and a drive down Champs-Elysees to see the Arch of Triumph. Also included are Napoleon’s Tomb; Place de la Concorde, where thousands were guillotined during the French Revolution; the Latin Quarter; Ile de la Cité; and more. We then delight in the view from the Eiffel Tower during lunch there! B, L

Day 9: Monday, May 6 Paris Today is free to explore on our own. B Day 10: Tuesday, May 7 Paris Today is free to explore on our own. B Day 11: Wednesday, May 8 Paris This morning we visit the Château de Versailles just outside Paris. What started as a small hunting lodge is now a grand estate and glittering royal palace. We spend time exploring the Queen's and King's apartments; the Halls of Peace, Mirrors, and War; and the English and French gardens and park. Early in the afternoon, we return to Paris to organize and pack for our journey home. B Day 12: Thursday, May 9 Return Our adventure concludes as we depart Paris for Omaha. IF
