    We

Despite short notice, ourlub assisted the St. Clair

Conservation Authority andTown in planting over 200rees to reduce erosiondjacent to the creek flowingnto the Sydenham River in

    Alexandra Park on September5th.

Bryce, a grade 12 student and

he 17 year old son of

    prospective member Tanya

Walker, came out to assist on

    eptember 21st but the

    planting was postponed

    rising from the flooding of

    he park from very heavy

    ainfall the previous night.

    The trees included Maples,

    Sumac, Willow and other

    species said Jessica Van Zwol

    of the Conservation Authority.

    Andrew Meyer, Manager,

    Community Development,

    from the Town helped

    supervise and said they expect

a donation of more trees for

    planting early next May.

    Our club should seriously

    consider buying into future

tree plantings as this is a Lions

    International goal and we

    have many environmental

    conscious members.

Alexandra Park - Tree PlantingA heavy rainstorm reinforced the reason for planting more trees,

and the crew got to work!

Town employees and other citizens, including two Strathroy -
