CAO UPDATES (additional information under resources)All schools will have a delayed first diagnostic administration. You will see in the Assessment Data Plan that the window was extended because of this concern. Once we receive approval to administer the reading and math diagnostic assessment/benchmark, you will be notified immediately. However, it will not occur until October.

English Language Arts: Curricular Units for Middle school are complete. They will be available on or before

September 6th. Alignment to the NJSLS for High School ELA curriculum for unit one is in progress.

Elementary curriculum for unit one is in the process of being aligned to NJSLS. Unit one will be available to teachers on or before September 6th.

Kindergarten teachers should administer the word analysis to students during the same window for DRA2 in grades 1-5.

TALENT, ACQUISITION & DEVELOPMENT (Human Resources)

Please be advised that we are limiting attendance at the 2016 FEA/NJPSA Conference to those that have already applied and been approved. No additional requests will be honored.  We need to ensure coverage in the District.

SPECIAL SERVICES

1)   Field Trips Source4Teachers Staff Admissiona.    If staff is required to attend all transportation and fees/cost must be paid by the districtb.    Source4Teachers and staff member should be given advance notice of attendance

requirements2)   Positions

a.    1:1 - Selina emailing out-of-districts schools todayb.    Para -  4 positions added on 8/17, 81 new total. The list of the paraprofessionals will

be sent on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.

3) Easy IEP a. All passwords for district staff will be reset. Please look out for an email from the Special Education Department.
