L E U N G - P L A N N I N G + D E S I G N PROJECT EXPERIENCE The Master Plan of Triana (448 hectares) shows an interconnected network of streets designed to encourage walking, reduce the number and length of automobile trips, and conserve energy. The neighborhood districts generally emphasize the placement of a Kindergarten, Elementary School and Middle School with ac- companying park and recreational facilities, and follow the new urban principles of neighborhood design when possible, placing residential units, retail shops, and workplaces within close proximity to each other. Since the major transportation corridors define the project into many sub-parcels, it is all the more important to develop neighbor- hoods that facilitate pedestrian and vehicular movement, the principal streets and town squares of Triana are primary public spaces of the town and parks for each and every residential neighborhood. Triana incorporates a hierarchy of town center to urban neighbor- hoods and streets, promoting a strong sense of place. The Master Plan of Triana (448 hectares) shows an interconnected network of streets designed to encourage walking, reduce the number and length of automobile trips, and conserve energy.

The neighborhood districts generally emphasize the placement of a Kindergarten, Elementary School and Middle School with ac-companying park and recreational facilities, and follow the new urban principles of neighborhood design when possible, placing residential units, retail shops, and workplaces within close proximity to each other.

Since the major transportation corridors define the project into many sub-parcels, it is all the more important to develop neighbor-hoods that facilitate pedestrian and vehicular movement, the principal streets and town squares of Triana are primary public spaces of the town and parks for each and every residential neighborhood. Triana incorporates a hierarchy of town center to urban neighbor-hoods and streets, promoting a strong sense of place.
