Real is a platform too !
The way it was :
Real/
fiction
real=true-physical-facts/
fiction=false-virtual-imagination
The way it is now:
real=
physical + virtual + fiction + facts +
imagination
Reality is becoming a
multilayered time experience …
…materializing both online and IRL.
But signs of screen fatigue are showing.
We start craving fuller experiences.
Life online can also be very lonely.
The innovation of lonelinessby Shimi Cohen / Shenkar College of Engineering &

So ?
Mixing real life and screens…
…is a great opportunity for enriched story worlds.
The deep trend is towards stories as pervasive and permanent story worlds.
The future of storytellingby Kim Gaskins / LATITUDE
Stories Come Out Of
The Screen, Into The
Physical World
We've seen plenty of cohesive
cross-platform narratives, but
where can you go from there?
The "real world"—that's where.
Stories Will Be Told 24/7
As we develop deeper relationships
and greater interactivity with
characters, it's only natural to think
of them as having lives of their own
—lives that exist in some parallel
universe, and go on even when
we're not tuning in.
Stories Will Make The
World A Better Place
As stories extend further into the
real world, so will their potential to
create positive change for both
individuals and society. That might
mean living a healthier life,
supporting important causes, or
something else.
A few examples:
UGC data as metastory :

Flashmob as an entry point:
Geolocalised experience
Treasure hunt
Ghost buffalo through Paris for the Museum of
Quai Branly
Conclusion:
Simple,playful,poetic interaction
can createan engaging story experience.
Merci.
