SINGER AND SONGWRITER TRISTAN PRETTYMAN, 27 YEARS OLD, GOT HER START A VERY YOUNG AGE.

AT 15 SHE WOULD SNEAKING INTO HER FATHER’S ROOM AND BEGAN TEACHING HERSELF HOW TO PLAY HIS OLD ACOUSTIC GUITAR.

DISCOVERING HER LOVE FOR MUSIC AND THE ART OF SONGWRITING SHE WAS ABLE TO MAKE A NAME FOR HERSELF SHOWCASING HER TALENT IN CREATING ACOUSTIC FOLK-POP.

Brief BiographyTristan Prettyman was

born and raised in the town of Del Mar located in San Diego, California.

Taking advantage of the town's proximity to the ocean, her first passion was surfing were she won a fifth place in the National Scholastics Surfing Association in middle school

She became a model for Quicksilver's Roxy label.In between modeling gigs and surfing trips, she began showcasing her acoustic songs at local parties and small-sized venues. She also landed a song on the soundtrack to Chris Malloy's 2001 surf film, Shelter, which helped cement her status as a budding musician.

Before long, Prettyman began playing in clubs and bars throughout San Diego County before being invited to join fellow San Diegan, Jason Mraz, who she began dating shortly after joining his national tour. The buzz around Prettyman continued to grow as she went on tour with G. Love & Special Sauce She recorded and self-released the Love EP in 2003, and considering the mainstream success of Mraz and Jack Johnson, it wasn't long before the majors came calling. Prettyman eventually signed with Virgin Records.

Musical Influence

Most of her songs are influenced by politics, the environment, and world peace

She also was influenced by the musical styles of artist such as Ani DiFranco , Joni Mitchell, and Jack Johnson
