PREZ RELEASEVTR: At our FebruaryClub Meeting the goahead was given to spon-sor the 2018 VTR. A sitecommittee was formed.This committee has met, asite has been selected andthe host city and venuenotified. I have sent an E-Mail to Club Membersexplaining this. The VTRhas asked that the specif-ics of this 2018 VTR bekept secret until they areformally announced at the2017 VTR Convention inAugust. Greg Thompsonwill be our 2018 VTRcoordinator along withour VTR guy LarrySanderson. In the future,we will be communicatingto the club the variouscommittees that will beneeded to plan and ex-ecute the 2018 Conven-tion. At that time, we willask for volunteers toparticipate in these variouscommittees. I would liketo thank all the membersof the Site Committee fortheir input. Special thanksgoes to Greg, TerryNeuman and Joe Bisanzwho spent a considerable
amount of time and effortcompiling the informationnecessary to vet these vari-ous potential host sites.Speaking of volunteers, weare looking for folks who arewilling to step up and hostactivities we have planned forthis driving season. Openactivities in need of avolunteer(s) include:
• Spring ShakedownRun (April 22nd ??)
• Mystery Tour• Queen Mum Tour
(August)• Antique Tour• Fall Color Tour Run• Drive-In Movie Night

Akick in the butt to get mainte-nance done and be ready forthis coming driving season.We own Triumphs to drivethem. In the day they werebuilt to drive and not sit in agarage so let’s not let thathappen now. That is why weplan club driving events. Noreason that our Triumphscan’t run now like they didback then (in the case of myTR3A that was 59 yearsago). I have put more miles

Are gathering together on an e-mail list! What’s that about??? It’sa casual way for us ladies to stayin touch about who is going to anevent, meeting, trip or drive. Wecan also help each other stayinformed about anything thatcomes up, such as if someone hassurgery, or becomes ill, gets a newcar or wins an award for a show.Knowing someone cares is alwayswelcome! Also, this has thepotential for growth into more,such as our own events andgatherings, etc. It’s our own so itcan be as much or little as we wantto make of it. Minnesota Triumphs Meeting MinutesFebruary 9th 2017
The first meeting at our new meeting sightat OL’MEXICO was attended by 43 mem-bers. It was 19 degrees at the start of themeeting, with no Triumphs observed in theparking lot. Throughout the meeting Iheard many positive comments on thefood. Jon Meier kicked off meeting with reportsfrom staff. We had 1 new member in atten-dance.
Treasurer Jill Davenport reported.Observation: Joe DeMuth is keeping herbusy with the membership dues coming in.
Joe DeMuth reported 47 membershave paid their membership dues.
Orrin McGill, our newsletter editorrequested we keep the articles coming. Hecommunicated the need/help from mem-bers to take the lead on several of theupcoming events. The response was great,many of the events have now a leadperson. A big thanks to those whostepped up.
Roger Kraemer reported two techsessions are currently scheduled. Due toscheduling challenges, two will be inMarch. March 4th and 18th.
Doug Burch reported theInterMarque spring kickoff is scheduledMay 13th in Osseo.
Hosting 2018 National VTR wasvoted on and approved by members. Jonrequested those interested to be on a siteselection committee to sign up. A meet-

Greetings once again from SouthFlorida. I have a Florida friendthat is looking for a TR6. If youare ready to bail on yours I mighthave a home for it. Still no snowin West Palm, but I did talk to alady today in Rochester whothought they had about 15". Myback aches to think of it. AfterMarch when it snows I figureGod put it there and he can take itaway. The sun will melt iteventually.
Good news is I hear there may bea club who has volunteered forthe 2018 VTR Convention. Iknow VTR was worried that theywould not have a venue for 2018.So if you can’t make Princetonfor 2017, maybe you can planahead for 2018. We will have ithere first once the sight data andclub are released.
