The trombone is one of the oldest classical orchestral instruments still being used today! The first mention of the trombone was in 1488. In 1468 the Duke of Burgundy hired a trombone player to play at his wedding.History

There are 3 common types of trombones: Bass trombone (top) pitched in Bb, Tenortrombone (middle) and Alto trombone (bottom) Types of trombones

In the trombone family there are 8 instruments. A cornet and trumpet are the most popular ones. there is: a cornet, a trumpet, a Flugel Horn, a French horn, a Tenor horn, a Baritone, a Trombone and a tuba Trombone family
