MULTI PURPOSE MID TIPPING DECK LOW LOADERSDesigned specifically for the Roading Industry and for transporting of Access Equipment and other “hard to load plant”. Built with a 42 Tonne ATM Rating, a true low loader.

Tare weights from as low as 8,950Kg with double fold ramps are achieved using bisalloy 80 grade steel. This method of construction allows this trailer to carry one single piece of equipment (excavator) up to 29Tonne under permit.

The hydraulic Mid-Tipping deck allows rollers and access equipment to be easily loaded onto the top deck. The Mid-Tipping deck angles allow even 19 Foot electric scissor lifts to be loaded without bellying. 12Tonne can be placed on the Mid-Tipping deck when raised in travel mode.

Our special “Paver” ramps offer loading angles of only 6˚. The Deck Widening Trailer shown below, built for Nationwide Transport, of Dandenong Vic, has a special curved Beavertail. This was designed specifically to carry those hard to load stock picker fork trucks with little ground clearance. The radiused Beavertail eliminates the apex point , where the fork truck gets hung up on a conventional design trailer.

Mid-Tipping deck elevated to allow the SUV to load to the top deck. This trailer is also spec’ed with an optional 15,000lb hydraulic winch and remote control. Note the extremely low angle of the the extended bi-fold ramps and curved Beavertail onto the main deck.

Shown with SUV now in position on the top deck, and the main decks closed up to 2.5M.

All decks and ramps on this trailer have our Cold Grip Non slip coating, which allows both rubber tyred vehicles and smooth drum rollers to be loaded.

The top two pictures show the operator using the trailer’s ramp and widening controls. Ramps are folded up, and trailer main deck is being closed up.

Page 5: TRT Trailers

AXLE WIDENING LOWLOADERSHi Tensile Bis80 construction produces light tare weights with good payload characteristics. Note the minimal deflection of the coaming rail, loaded with a 50T excavator. Tares range from 9.5 (Tri) to 14.5 Tonne (Steering quad).

Fitted with TIDD Trailing Arm hydraulic suspension allows this trailer to be both lowered or raised. Lowering improves loading angles, while raising above normal ride height increases ground clearance. TRT’s unique Hydraulic suspension uses double acting cylinders that allow over 200mm of axle travel.

With lock valves fitted the operator can lift an axle row at the touch of a lever. Normal operation has all tyres on the ground, but when running empty one or more axles can be lifted provided at least two axle rows remain in contact with the road. Tyre change or puncture repair can be effected without having to use a jack, simply lift the tyre that needs changing.

The 50 Tonne combination built for Olsson Heavy Haulage of Gippsland VIC. pictured below is fitted with two BPW LL Series steer axles at the rear. The photo highlights how our low profile design gooseneck permits equipment like this Striker SC185 Tracked Screen to be loaded as far forward as possible.

Built at either close or spaced axles out to 1.8M centres (for maximum payload load) this range of trailers use either air or hydraulic suspension.

Spread to 3.5M wide these decks are shown fitted with conveyor belt.

Typical low Beavertail angle allows ease of loading over the apex.

Optional Double fold ramps.

4 x 2 Dolly supplied on either air or mechanical suspension allows 50/50 axle weight splits, tare from as low as 3,200Kg.

Top deck access is achieved with pull out alloy ramps.

HEAVY DUTY SWINGWING ROWS OF 8Built at either 2.5 or 2.7M closed widths, these trailers open out to 4.3M wide. The 2 x 8 Dolly widens from 2.5 to 4.3M and is built with an Air Pinned 600mm Sliding 5th Wheel to maintain optimum axle loads.

This Sherrin Equipment 3 Rows of 8 is shown undergoing final tests prior to delivery. The 380mm deep Pressed Coaming Rail ensures minimal deflection even fully loaded.

Pictured hauling a 67 Tonne D10, this 4 Rows of 8 and 2 x 8 Dolly combination built for Telstra Australia is fitted with our Full Hydraulic Compensating Gooseneck, that automatically changes angle with the terrain, maintaining a constant load on the Prime Mover’s drive tyres. Telstra chose this feature as it allows them to haul through “jump ups” without breaking traction.

Page 8: TRT Trailers

This 5 rows of 8 shows the additional sliding box member which allows maximum overlap when fully widened to keep the trailer straight.

The Hydraulic Gooseneck allows the operator to lift the front of the trailer for additional ground clearance. In travel mode the Gooseneck automatically compensates for the terrain as the pre-charged accumulator applies a constant load, maintaining traction on the Drive Tyres.

As an option you can select our unique Hydro-Gas Suspension for a soft ride and extended trailer life.

Brake Boosters travel with the axle to minimise linkages, optimise brake geometry and increase component life.

Beavertails are built to provide shallow loading angles.

HOUSE REMOVAL TRAILERSADAPTABLEBuilt for KirkPatrick of USA, this trailer extends out to take a 20M Building. Built with TRT’s unique Poly Beam & Torsional Box Trombone for a 40% improvement in stiffness over standard I Beam designs. With a lowered deck height of 900mm, raised deck height for this unit is 2,850mm. Other confi guration trailers can achieve lowered deck heights from 750mm and a raised deck height from 1,650mm. FLEXIBLEThe split axle fully independent suspension allows the lifting of any wheel set, giving the operator the fl exibility to ‘step over ‘ obstacles, as shown on this trailer built for Davie Shoring and Moving USA. Designed to cope with diffi cult terrain on site, the whole trailer can be ‘leant’ on one side like this Craig Walker trailer, which enables trailer and load to negotiate a steep siding or to clear a bridge rail.

MANOEUVRABLEUtilising BPW Steer axles converted by TRT to full hydraulic split axle power steer, provides 3 steering modes, castor steer, fl oat steer, or hydraulically locked ‘straight ahead’. Individual axle power steering is by Radio Remote. A LED indicator is fi tted to show the driver when the axle is in the straight-ahead position.

TESTEDPrior to shipment and delivery, we test the fully independent suspension to ensure it operates through its wide range of movements. During road testing the steer axles are checked for response times and wheel alignment, both loaded and unloaded.

OPTIONSSideshift: Fitment of 3 sets of side shift legs will allow a 30T building to be moved 600mm sideways, ideal when splitting or joining a building.

Clip On: Extra capability can be added by attaching clip on modules to increase the number of axle lines.

King Pin Side Shift: Fitted to skid plate and operated via a compact double acting cylinder, this fi tment allows very precise sideways movement to align the building on each pile. Makes high setting a building a breeze.

CRANE SUPPORT TRAILERSToday’s mobile cranes have become much larger and more sophisticated as evidenced by NZ Crane Hire’s Grove GMK 6300. One of the largest hydraulic cranes ever seen in New Zealand this Mercedes-Benz powered (420Kw) 6 wheel drive, 12 wheel steer crane weighs in at around 66 Tonne. With 100 Tonne of counterweight fi tted, the crane is rated at 300 Tonne. The main boom extends up to 63 Metre tip height; the Lattice Fly Jib takes this up to 113 Metres.

Transporting 100 Tonne of crane counterweight and 50 Metres of Lattice Fly Jib safely and securely demands you either employ a fl eet of fl at deck semi trailers and live with the cord damage from chains and dogs, or you invest in TRT Crane Support Trailers, the effi cient and effective way to support your crane feet. Three 6 axle Grove All Terrain Cranes shown here lifting the 130 Tonne ex Americas Cup yacht “Endeavour”. All 3 cranes use specially designed TRT Crane Support Trailers to deliver counterweight, Jib sections, swamp pads and extra lifting equipment to the crane work site.
