Adopting environment friendly technologies for waste management.
Co-processing being a recovery process is higher in waste management
hierarchy over land filling.
VC has adopted a collection, segregation, storage and disposal facility and
made policy guidelines for waste management by forming a scrap
committee. The Plant generated segregated waste/Scrap items are approved
from the scrap committee are weighed & transported to scrap storage yard.
Used oil, E-waste & Battery waste generated in the plant is disposed off to
KSPCB authorized recycler .
Used oil generated in the plant is disposed off to KSPCB authorized

Alternate Fuels: VC has adopted Green Technology Hot Disc Reactor which
is first in Asia for usage of Alternate Fuels for maximum of
utilisation of Hazardous & Non-Hazardous waste in
cement kiln.
Benefits:
Reduction in Green House gases emission & related benefit of carbon
trading.
Conversion of waste into energy / as a raw mix component.
Reduced burden on TSDF.
Conservation of fossil fuel resources.
Immobilization of toxic and heavy material.
Reduction in energy / cement production costs
