Terminal Learning ObjectiveTerminal Learning Objective

Action: Process Captured Materiel.

Conditions: This task can be performed in field and garrison locations under all conditions. Given captured enemy materiel consisting of a map, signal operation instructions, a new piece of unidentified equipment, complete with reference manuals, captured enemy equipment tags, captured document tags (DA Form 5976, Part C), a sheet marked TECHDOC, and unit SOP describing the processing and evacuation of captured enemy materiel.

Standard: Secure captured enemy materiel. Prepare a spot report on captured enemy materiel known or believed to be of intelligence value. Fill out and attach tag to the item of captured enemy materiel. Select correct disposition procedure for each item of captured enemy materiel.

Did you know………Did you know………

A Union soldier found a copy of General Lee’s march order for the Army of Northern Virginia. Information from that document led to the Confederate defeat at the Battle of Antietam, stopped the South’s first major invasion of the North, and provided President Lincoln the needed victory to permit his announcement of the Emancipation Proclamation.

ConclusionConclusion The proper and timely processing and

evacuation of CEM is an important segment of the intelligence gathering process. Information developed from captured materiel will aid the intelligence officer in keeping the commander informed of the enemy situation..………

If you find it, REPORT IT!
