TU VOCAL AND CHORAL CAMP Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 5, 2016 The TU VOCAL and CHORAL CAMP is a 5-day summer camp for high school and college-aged singers who love vocal and choral music. TU vocal faculty along with guest artists will guide students in the preparation of classical solos appropriate for auditions and contests as well as in semi-staged operatic scenes. The choral program will feature choral repertoire selected for this camp, including All-State mixed choral music preparation for the coming year. The camp will begin on Monday, August 1 at 9:30 am, and conclude with a free festival concert at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 5. Location and Facilities The TU VOCAL and CHORAL CAMP will be held on the campus of the University of Tulsa in the newly constructed Lorton Performance Center, home of the TU School of Music. Daily Schedule 9:30-10:45 Announcements and Choral Rehearsal 11:00-11:45 Sectionals and Classes to include Alexander Technique, Audition Preparation; Stage Deportment and Etiquette; and Career Guidance and Preparation 12:00-12:45 Brown Bag Lunch Concerts (Students are responsible for their own lunches) 1:00-2:00 Choral Rehearsal 2:15-3:30 Vocal Master Class 3:45-4:45 Opera Workshop and All-State choral music preparation (Individual Private Voice Lessons will be scheduled throughout the day for all students.) Fees The fee for attending the TU VOCAL and CHORAL CAMP is $175 if postmarked by July 1, and includes all materials, classes, and lessons. The fee after July 1, 2016 is $200.
