Last year saw unprecedented demand for this event, with record numbers of some 1,360 enjoying a wonderful lunch in the company of the major personnel from the cheese industry. Guidelines for Trade Stand Exhibitors, All stand holders must hold Public Liability Insurance and must complete a Risk Assessment for the event. Both of which shall be held on your stand if deemed necessary for inspection by the HSE. Using the guidelines shown below please consider what risk there is to those building up Trade Stands and to members of the public during the Show. Outline the steps you propose to take to minimise that risk in the table overleaf. Please copy this page if more space is required.
Look only for hazards which you could reasonably expect to result in significant harm under the conditions in your workplace. Use these examples as a guide.

Could stall holders please be advised that there is a strong possibility that Environmental Health Officers will be visiting the show. They will be carrying out random inspections around the Cheese Marquee and other food venues within the show.
Please note, the following guidelines should be followed:
1. Surfaces that are touched by food must be in sound condition and easy to clean and sanitise.
2. A two part cleaning process should be adopted - surfaces should be wiped clean then sanitised. Disposable cloths should be used where possible.
3. You must have adequate facilities for cleaning and sanitising working tools and equipment.
4. You must place and store food in a way that avoids the risk of contamination.
5. Have available your food safety managment documentation relating to your operation.
6. Ensure you follow the food industry safety standards with relating to temperature control, stock rotation and can demonstrate a sufficient level of competence in food safety.

International Cheese Awards - Nantwich 2020 will be staged at The Showground, Nantwich CW5 8LD
on Tuesday/Wednesday 28th/29th July 2020 and for which we invite your application for Trade Space in the Cheese Marquee
at the rates and conditions shown in this document.
RULES AND CONDITIONS (TRADE SPACE) 1. The Society’s full Rules and Regulations are open to inspection at the Office of the Secretary and on the Society’s website and copies of which
are available on request and every Exhibitor, whether he shall inspect the said rules and regulations or not, shall be bound thereby. 2. All stand holders must hold Public Liability Insurance and must complete a Risk Assessment for the event. Both of which shall be held on
your stand if deemed necessary for inspection by the HSE. 3. The Society reserves the right to position stands where they feel appropriate and whilst every effort will be made to site regular exhibitors
in the same position as previously, no guarantee can be given. Once applications are accepted no refunds of money will be given for any reason whatsoever,
4. The Cheese marquee will be open for the erection of stands from Tuesday 21st July and all stands and equipment must be cleared by midday Thursday 1st August. Any exhibits not removed on this day will be removed by the Society at the expense of the Exhibitor and no claim can be made against the Society.
5. No cheap jacks allowed and any shouting or behaviour calculated to annoy visitors or exhibitors is strictly forbidden. The Show management reserves the right to remove offenders and their wares from the show ground.
6. Exhibitors must not display any material calculated to provoke or annoy visitors or other exhibitors. The Show Management reserves the right to remove any such material and the offending exhibitor from the Show ground.
7. Stands must be completed by 5.30pm on Sunday 26th July except for small items and must not be dismantled before 6.00 pm on Wednesday 29th July. There will be no exception to this rule. Trade exhibitors will be allowed to stay on their stand whilst judging is in progress (8.45 am onwards – Tuesday), providing there is no interfering noise, and at the jurisdiction of the Chief Trade Stand Steward.
8. All stands must be paid for in full when the reservation is made. No tickets will be issued until the full payment is made, payment must be received by 27th March 2020. Failure in completing payment by this date will automatically disqualify application and the allocated space may be offered for resale.
9. No livestock is allowed on any stand. 10. Exhibitors are advised to ensure that they are adequately insured as the Society will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage. 11. The Nantwich Agricultural Society, its Officers, Servants or Agent (whether negligent or not) shall not be liable for any claims for losses or
damages by any exhibitor in relation to this Show. 12. The ruling of the Nantwich Agricultural Society through its Officers, Executive Committee and Directors shall, if necessary, issue further rules,
conditions and information as and when appropriate and such will be binding on all concerned. 13. SECURITY will be provided from Sunday 26th July (7.00 pm) through to Thursday 30th July (7.00 am). 14. EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY: please advise details of any heavy or large equipment/machinery – this will enable the best planning for
suitable position for loading/unloading, and to assess times of arrival/departure. No generators will be allowed on the showground without prior consent.
15. WATER: Water in the marquee at two points, not normally available on individual stands. 16. FLOORING: Flooring is provided for trade stands. As previous this will be a suspended floor system. This will offer an
excellent surface on which to erect stands but NO DRILLING OR ATTACHMENT to floor permitted. Damaged panels will be charged at full cost of replacement.
17. ELECTRIC: Electricity is switched on, on the Sunday before the Show i.e. 26th July 2020. 18. BROADBAND: All stands will receive Free Broadband access for the period of the show.
TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS Due to heavy wear and tear of the ground, and this is considerably worse if wet weather prevails, traffic will be strictly controlled and we ask everyone to observe the following:- • Stand erection must be completed, by Sunday evening, leaving only small items to bring on Monday and Tuesday morning – small items
may only be added to the stand either prior to the commencement of judging (8.45 am) or after completion of judging. • Car Passes are restricted to one pass per stand. Cars are only allowed on the showground by 7.45 am, and moved to the car park by 8.30 am.
Note: The International Cheese Awards are staged on open parkland within the picturesque Dorfold Park Estate, on the edge of the historical market town of Nantwich. It will be appreciated that the showground, as a whole, is on a parkland surface, but the Cheese Show will be staged in a further extended 40m wide, 80,000 sq. ft. air conditioned marquee, and flooring is laid for the whole marquee.
