Eustachy, who took over from Tim Miles in April and who’s in line to take his fourth school to the NCAA tournament after guid- ing Southern Miss, Iowa State and Utah State there, said his focus is on the Mountain West race, where the Rams trail No. 19 New Mexico by a half game for first place. “New Mexico is clearly the team to catch, but there are other teams right behind them that have a chance, and I think that we are one of them,” Eu- stachy said. “It’s going to come down to who plays the best bas- ketball in the second round of conference play.” The Rams were ranked four weeks overall in 1953-54, rising as high as No. 18. Making for a fitting story line, the Rams will celebrate the pro- gram’s heritage by wearing pumpkin orange and alfalfa green uniforms with the Colorado A&M mascot “Aggies” written across their chests for Wednesday’s game against San Diego State, which is in third place in the tightening MWC race. “I’m not a real ‘poll watcher’ .. But I am extremely aware of where (teams) are in confer- ence,” Eustachy said. “Our goal is to win a championship. It always has been.” BOWLING CROFTON WOMEN’S AMERICAN HIGH TEAM GAME: DSM Apts. 752 HIGH TEAM SEREIES: DSM Apts. 2181 HIGH INDIVIDUAL GAME: Jane Daw- son 185, Morgan Zavadil 169, Katie Tramp 164 HIGH INDIVIDUAL SERIES: Jane Dawson 495, Morgan Zavadil 451, Laverta Mauch 440 I STANDINGS: Comfy Feet.biz 44-16, Lewis & Clark Specialty Hospital 24.5-35.5, Arens Const. 20-40 II STANDINGS: F&M Bank 39.5-20.5, DSM Apts. 29-31, Wiebelhaus PDR 23-37 HIGHLIGHTS: Rebecca Climer 3-10; Maggie Carter 6-7-10; Danielle McFarland 5-10 MEN’S COMMERCIAL HIGH TEAM GAME: (2/5) Goeden Steel 928; (2/7) Coors Light 961 HIGH TEAM SERIES: (2/5) Goeden Steel 2592; (2/7) Coors Light 2597 HIGH INDIVIDUAL GAME: (2/5) Ryan Tramp 255, Joe Wiebelhaus 225, Todd Moody 225; (2/7) Rob Wiebelhaus 235, Dan McFarland 233, Joe Wiebelhaus 225 HIGH INDIVIDUAL SERIES: (2/5) Todd Moody 651, Joe Wiebelhaus 618, Steve Honeywell 607; (2/7) Dan McFar- land 637, Joe Wiebelhaus 632, Rob Wieblelhaus 622 FINAL THIRD QUARTER STAND- INGS: A — Merkel Ins. 96-64, Wiebelhaus Rec 90-70, Crofton Elevator 85-75, Don’s Auto 71-89; B — Goeden Steel 86-74, DSM Apts. 80-80, Coors Light 79-81, Leader Angus 53-107 FOURTH QUARTER STANDINGS: A — Wiebelhaus Rec 12-8, Crofton Elevator 12-8, Merkel Insulation 8-12, Don’s Auto 4- 16; B — Coors Light 19-1, Leader Angus 16-4, DSM Apts. 8-12, Goeden Steel 1-19 2/5 HIGHLIGHTS: Ryan Tramp - 104 over game avg., 143 over series avg. 2/7 HIGHLIGHTS: Luke DeBlauw - 64 over game avg., 158 over series avg. Eustachy, who took over fromTim Miles in April and who’s inline to take his fourth school tothe NCAA tournament after guid-ing Southern Miss, Iowa State andUtah State there, said his focus ison the Mountain West race, where the Rams trail No. 19 NewMexico by a half game for firstplace.

“New Mexico is clearly theteam to catch, but there areother teams right behind themthat have a chance, and I thinkthat we are one of them,” Eu-stachy said. “It’s going to comedown to who plays the best bas-ketball in the second round ofconference play.”

The Rams were ranked fourweeks overall in 1953-54, rising as

high as No. 18.Making for a fitting story line,

the Rams will celebrate the pro-gram’s heritage by wearingpumpkin orange and alfalfa greenuniforms with the Colorado A&Mmascot “Aggies” written acrosstheir chests for Wednesday’sgame against San Diego State, which is in third place in thetightening MWC race.

“I’m not a real ‘poll watcher’ ..But I am extremely aware ofwhere (teams) are in confer-ence,” Eustachy said. “Our goal isto win a championship. It alwayshas been.”
