4.9.6 Acceptance Criteria Cracks. When properly applied, Duraband®NC hardbanding deposits are crack free. If any cracks, visual or MPI indicated, appear in the deposit, in the heat affected zone, or in the toe of the weld, the tool joint shall be determined “UNACCEPTABLE”.
