To facilitate buzz and reach this community, we created a Facebook Group, Twitter feed, YouTube channel and launched forums on our website.

Dog Island

• The Dog Island project brought in 277,000 page views.

• Social MediaWe launched a Facebook fan page and Twitter account to spread the word and give people who love the island a sense of community. Dog Island has 957 fans on Facebook.

In a piece about an eroding barrier island we used a slide show and interactive maps to illustrate the nature of the slipping sands.

hashtag for coverage of FSU’s recruiting class was picked up by most media covering FSU, including the university sports information. This created a one-stop-shop for our readers. #FSUNSD

Bus decentralization project• The city is undergoing major

changes to the bus system.• Online elements include:

route maps, fee schedule, photo galleries of sidewalk construction and buses training on the new, decentralized routes.

• We created a Facebook page to encourage community conversation and feedback.

• We will launch a mobile survey about the experience using the Survey on the Spot mobile tool when the system launches.
