Turn your fabric inside out.
Iron the fabric
Place your fabric so that the open end is at the top. You will begin sewing in the top right
corner.
Choose a width for your border and begin sewing. Don’t forget to reinforce your
corners!!!
Sew until the needle is about the same distance from the edge of the fabric as the
trim width you have chosen.
With the needle in the fabric, pivot your fabric so you can begin the next seam.
If needed, adjust your fabric to your trim width again. Don’t forget to reinforce your
corner!!!
Again, stop sewing when the needle is about the same distance as your border
width from the end of the fabric.
Don’t forget to reinforce your corner!!!!
With the needle in the fabric, pivot to begin the new seam. Realign your fabric if
needed.
Begin sewing
Don’t forget to reinforce your corner!!
Sew until the needle is about the same distance from the end of your fabric as
your trim width.
Reinforce your corner.
Pivot your fabric and realign if needed.
Begin sewing the fourth side, which should be the open side. Do not sew all the way to the end!!! You must
leave an opening to stuff the pillow!!!
Reinforce the opening.
Lift the presser foot. Gently pull the fabric to the left of the machine. Leave about 4 inches of thread coming
from the machine and cut your thread.
Your corners should look like this.
Finish your pillow
• Stuff your pillow through the opening that you left.
• Be sure to push stuffing into the corners. • Force the stuffing away from the opening.• Sew the opening closed.• Work the stuffing inside to fill in the area near
your opening.
