Set up a Samsung Galaxy Device as a TV Remote

This presentation will show you how to set up a Galaxy device as a TV remote control by using an application called WatchOn. Samsung WatchOn will use the IR blasters of your Galaxy phone to convert it into a remote control. WatchOn gives you full control over your TV and movie-viewing experience.

First open the Application folder from the home screen.

Now you click the WatchOn app.

After open, connect to the internet and tap on the start button. WatchOn will require you to connect to your

Wi-Fi or data connection.

Now select your current country

Then enter your ZIP code and tap on browse.

Now select a “TV service provider” and tap on next.

Then go to the Start button to proceed with the setup.

After setup, click “Setup Remote Control”.

Now you should turn off your TV.

Then the next page will remind you to point your phone at the TV when you tap test buttons. Click the

Next button to proceed.

Now select your TV brand and tap on Next button.

Click the power button to turn your TV on.

Did your TV turn on? If it did, click Yes. Now you have the right code on your device. If the TV does not turn on, continue with

the other codes until turn your TV on.

Now select your “signal source” and click the Next button.

Then you have successfully set up the TV remote functions of your Galaxy device.
