District Project: Project Eliminate
Celebrate the holiday season by giving a gift to the Eliminate Project to help Kiwanis and its SLPs
eliminate MNT from the face of the Earth. What better way to honor a loved one, business
associate or fellow Kiwanis member than to give a gift in his/her name?
This “holiday gifting” program is available until January 4, 2013. Please refer to the end of the

Camar i l l o K IWIN’S
On December 1, 2012, approximately 50 KIWIN’S members ventured from Ventura County to Knott’s
Berry Farm in Buena Park for the KIWIN’S annual Fall Rally South. Fall Rally South is a district-wide fundraiser for
KIWIN’S Minor Emphasis, the Pediatric Trauma Program. Members fundraised for PTP through games such as the
district board auction. In the auction, divisions are able to “buy” district board members. As incentive, the highest
bidding division, gets to pie the district board member. KIWIN’S Turquoise Divisions successfully bought 4 of the 17
district board members, which included, Turquoise Lieutenant Governor, Jessica Tran; Jade Lieutenant Governor,
Xiaodi Li; District Secretary, Megan McKnelly; and District Governor, Kennedy Roberts! Members engaged in others
activities during the rally such as the famous spirit battles, the Fall Rally Beauty Pageant, and eating contests. They
also learned more about PTP through the heartfelt speeches from Mr. Kiner and Ms. Wheeler, who are both from
the CNH Kiwanis Foundation. Kyle Merker, a member from Adolfo Camarillo High, stated that the rally was
“overall fun, inspiring, and motivational.” Although Turquoise Division didn’t win the coveted spirit stick, they still
have a lot to be proud about for they raised over $800 for PTP. “It was wonderful seeing everyone come together
from all over the district to support such a worthy cause. Going to Fall Rally made me proud to be a KIWIN’S
member,” stated Camarillo President, Tyler Duffy.
Congrats to Jonny Goldstein for receiving the “Governor’s Recognition” award and for placing third in the Mr. Fall
Rally Pageant. Congrats also to Anthony Sabino, Jeffrey Fielding & Bryan Ninh for leading Turquoise Division to a
first place victory in the eating contest.!!!
