Lisa Hinton was selected Employee of the Month for July, 2019. Hinton was nominated by Thermo-Kool Vice President and Operations Manager, Lee Thames, who commented, “Lisa saw the need for Thermo-Kool to have a more modern firewall, stronger network infrastructure, and operating system to better secure our data and increase the network speed. While our Information Technology (IT) has been in the process of upgrading, Lisa has worked closely with our chosen IT service company to accomplish this need. She has done a tremendous job with helping others solve any problems that arise during this upgrade.” Hinton has been with Thermo-Kool since September, 2009.

Keven Sumrall was selected Employee of the Month for August, 2019. Sumrall was nominated by Thermo-Kool Maintenance Supervisor, Michael Graves, who commented, “As a hardworking and dedicated employee, Keven takes pride in his duties and in every task assigned to him. Not only is Keven dedicated to keeping up with his own department, but he assists in all factory departments daily.” Sumrall has been with Thermo-Kool since February, 2017.
Thermo-Kool recently announced the promotion of Wade Adkins to Production Superintendent. Adkins joined Thermo-Kool in 1992 as an Assembler in the shipping department and from there assumed the roles of Quality Control Inspector and Quality Control Specialist before being promoted into the company’s Supervisor Trainee Program in January 1998 and then to Production Supervisor in June 1998. During his tenure as Production Supervisor, Adkins rotated throughout the factory effectively leading and training Thermo-Kool personnel on the high standards of quality and service the company is traditionally known for. Adkins has also been highly instrumental in the multiple upgrades in foam equipment and processes which have kept Thermo-Kool a leader in the walk-in refrigeration industry.
In announcing Adkins’ promotion, Thermo-Kool Plant Manager, David Whitehead, said, “Wade has shown great leadership and has focused his efforts on meeting Thermo-Kool’s goals to the best of his ability.”
President & CEO, Rand McLaughlin, added, “With Wade’s dedication to our company’s mission and the respect he has earned from management and factory personnel for his leadership and strong work ethic, I am confident he will succeed as our production superintendent.”
