Tweddle Place Dry Pond

Project Description

•Expand existing Tweddle Place Dry Pond

•Remove existing earth berm

•Install new sewers, inlets

•Create pathway detour during construction

•Restore pathway after construction along 91 Street, with new connections to neighbourhood pathways and sidewalks

•Install vegetated sound barrier along dry pond

•Install new sewers and restore surface in cul-de-sacs of 86 Street and 88 Street, north of 40 Avenue

Construction Impacts

•Construction noise - noise bylaw will be adhered to

•Sidewalk and one-lane road closures on 86 & 88 Street cul-de-sacs

•Temporary full road closure for connection on 40 Avenue (TBC)

•No street parking near construction sites

•Home access will be maintained

•Emergency access will be maintained

•Waste disposal services to be maintained


Detours

•Multi-use Trail to be closed and bike/pedestrian traffic to be re-routed

•Detour to begin Summer 2017 and last until late summer 2018

• New storm sewer and catch basins to collect flows from the cul-de-sac and alleyways.

• Includes restoration of landscaping, concrete and asphalt in the street and alleyways.

• Project underway, continuing into July.


Building Condition Assessment

• If you received a pre-construction assessment in 2015 or 2016, you will receive a post-construction assessment

• 2015 construction on 89 St & south of 42A Ave: Post-construction assessment reports will be delivered to homeowners by the end of June 2017.

• 2016 construction on 89 St & 44 Ave or 88 St south of 44 Ave: Post-construction assessments will be conducted in September 2017 after the construction is completed and will be provided.

• 2017 construction in the cul-de-sacs of 86 St & 88 St: Pre-construction assessments are ongoing, post-construction assessments will only be done if requested.
