Church of St. Joseph Good Samaritan Sunday “A Heart for Christ”

As part of the Church of St. Joseph outreach program, we dedicate 10% of the 5th Sunday collection to charitable outreach. Last Sunday, we put $753 into our

charitable outreach fund. Because of your generous donations, we have been able to help a number of

Rosary for the Unborn

All are invited to pray a Rosary for the Unborn every Tuesday starting at 6:00pm in the Church (right after adoration). October is

Rosary & Respect Life Month! Join us to help cele-brate! This specific rosary being prayed will be for all of the unborn and for an end to abortion. There will be a

sheet to follow available during the rosary.

Baptism Class The next baptism class will be held on Sunday, October 8th at 11:45am in room 100 of St. Joseph School. All couples expecting their first child are asked to attend this class before the birth of their child. Please contact the parish office to register for the class and if you have any questions.

Join us for our Adult Faith Formation Classes!! We will begin meetings on October 22nd at 7pm

in room 100 in the school. If you are interested in joining,

please call the parish office to register to make sure that we have the necessary materials. All are

welcome to join! This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of your faith! Classes will

meet Tuesday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm.

Oct 6: St. Anthony Fall Dinner St. Anthony Church, St. Anthony, ND Fall Dinner, Fair & Raffle will be held Sunday, October 6, 2019. Dinner after 11:00 Mass until 2:30 pm in church basement includes fried chicken, roast beef, potatoes, kuchen & trimmings. Dinner tickets: adults $10.00, children 3-12 $5.00, children under 3 free. Verein Hall activities from 12:30 to 4:00 pm include bingo, silent auction, paddle wheel and other games, ending with drawings for parish and Christian Mothers raffles. St. Anthony Church is now handi-cap accessible.

Oct 6: Society of St. Vincent de Paul 5k Walk/Run The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit is holding their annual Friends of the Poor 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, Oct. 6 beginning at 1 p.m. at Sertoma Park in Bismarck. Cathedral of the Holy Spirit's St. Vincent de Paul Conference helps the poor and those in crisis situations. The society is funded entirely by donations from the com-munity and run by volunteers. To register for the event, go to www.fopwalk.org. You may either register ahead of time by clicking "Get Tickets" or register and pay at the event.

Oct 6: Bismarck/Mandan Right to Life, Life Chain Join Bismarck/Mandan Right to Life for our annual Life Chain on Sunday Oct. 6 from 1:15 - 2:30 PM. Meet at 6th St. and Blvd. Ave, south of the capitol. This chain coincides with other cities gathering across the nation. Signs will be provided. We will spend 1 hr. in silent prayer and reflection. For more info call Virginia @ 258-5379. Oct 7-13: Diocesan Rosary Congress St. Mary’s Parish in Bismarck invites all Catholic faithful in the area to the Dioce-san Rosary Congress the week of October 7-13. It officially begins on Monday, October 7 with Bishop Kagan celebrating the opening Mass at 7:00 pm. Each day, there will be daily Mass at 7:00 am followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacra-ment from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm. At the start of each hour, a rosary will be recited. Evenings conclude with Benediction at 7:00 pm, and the closing Mass is on Sunday, October 13 at 6:30 pm. We need over 100 people to commit to an hour of adoration and leading the rosary during this week of com-munity prayer. Please consider signing up to assist. Quilt auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. Oct 13: St. Mary’s, Bismarck, Fall Dinner Sunday, Oct. 13, 4 to 6 p.m. Menu: Turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, green bean casserole, dinner rolls, pumpkin and apple pie, angel food cake, beverages Cost: Adults $11, ages 3-8 $5. There will also be a silent auction.

Walk-A-Thon Fun!

Last Friday, our school participated in the annual Walk-A-Thon, walking to Kupper

Chevrolet and back in the morning and in the afternoon. When they were not walking,

students who brought in $75 or more for the Walk-A-Thon played a Kickball game with Fr. Waltz, Mr. Brekke, Dr. Fleischacker, and Ken, our custodian. A special thank you to all who donated to the Walk-A-Thon this year and to the Mandan Police Department for keep us all

safe on our walk!
