Greetings. We put in a lot of hours over here at Twenty4Seven Magazine and I can honestly say it gets rough at times. I alone carry a huge portion of making sure everything is everything and although I’m only one person, I still think I could do more. If you are familiar with me and what I do then you know I have a full plate. Still, no excuses. You guys are missing out on quite a bit due to me not getting it all done. I have about 2 hard drives FULL of video footage and photos that have yet to be published from footage of 2Chainz, and Superbowl 2012, to behind the scenes footage of ramdom events we’ve attended. Sorry. I’m on it and once again, I’m only one person. I’m just going to have to be Superman or something. Its nothing.

However, even Superman needed Superfriends at one point so if interested, we are still looking for more street reps and other people to help us grow. Email us at [email protected] to find out how to join the team.

Also, If you missed this year’s “DJs United Conference” held in Indianapolis, Indiana, then you were slipping. It was a huge success and featured entertainers such as Fonzworth Bentely, Shawnna, Huey, Rampage (Flipmode Squad) and more. It was also a great networking event with panelist from all over and was very informative for aspiring entertainers. Be sure to log on to www.djsunitedconference.com for info about next year’s conference which will be bigger and better. It is definitley an event you don’t want to miss. Same city, different location. Re-fer to our issue #15 for a full recap on the event.

The Indianapolis Children’s Museum is one of the city’s biggest attractions for people of all ages. There are several activities to get involved in along with exhibits both fun and educational. You can learn about influential events in history at the Power of Children exhibit or the Take Me There: Egypt display. On August 25, 2012, Amazon Fulfillment and Integrity Staff Solutions, teamed up to bring together its employees and their families to-gether for a night of entertainment and re-laxation from those ever so busy work days. Workers and their families were treated to free admission, free food, an interactive ca-sino area (no real bets taken) and tokens of memorabilia . Some of the activates included a scavenger hunt, commemorative photos with some of the museum’s most popular exhibits; Bumble Bee from the Transformers

film, Hot Wheels for Real and the Dinosphere attraction. Needless to say there was a lot to do to keep everyone engaged. This event not only allowed Amazonians and Integrity em-ployees to enjoy a day off, it hosted a great opportunity to mingle with fellow co-workers from different worksites and network with people in and out of their community. “Fam-ily Fun Night” was more than a success, it was a splendor of joy and unity. It was a great reminder to all those who work hard, that ev-ery now and then we all need and deserve a little break. Whether you’re blowing out your candles, tossing a penny into a fountain or like so many at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum do, and make a wish or imagine their dreams on a carousel. Always be sure to appreciate good company, food and life’s precious moments.

“RAW REDEMPTION”AVAILABLE 10/9/12

ONLINE AND IN STORESEVERYWHERE!

BLOOD RAW

BLOOD RAW IS OUT FOR REDEMPTION ON NEW CD DROPPING 10/9/12.

TWENTY4SEVEN MAGAZINE 9

Distributed by EMI, rapper Blood Raw, in conjunction with indie labels Big Cat Re-cords and Keep it 100 will release his latest solo album Raw Redemption online and in stores nationwide on October 9, 2012. Currently featured as iTunes’ “Hot Single of the Week”; the album’s 1st single is called “She Rockin It”, the an upbeat, club hit is gaining momentum on college and urban ra-dio. Known most for being a member of Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy’s rap trio U.S.D.A., Blood Raw has a loyal following and is highly re-spected in the streets and among hard core hip hop enthusiasts around the globe. His un-deniable grind and undeniable drive is what caught the eye and ear of Big Cat Records President Melvin “Mel Man” Breeden, “We (Big Cat Records) thrive on working with the underdog! Raw has proven himself to be a great artist with a voice and message that must be heard.”

Sometimes called Mr. Florida, Blood Raw be-gan his music career in Panama City, Florida during the mid-90’s where he earned the “Blood Raw” moniker (a street term for “the truth”). Deflecting interest from T.I.’s Grand Hustle, Asylum, and other labels, Blood Raw joined Jeezy’s U.S.D.A. outfit and signed with his Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) in 2004 with whom Def Jam released the U.S.D.A, mix tape, Cold Summer. He also dropped the DJ Drama-assisted Indictment Papers and The Streets Love Blood Raw with DJ Smallz. After a few years working with Young Jeezy, he decided to pursue a solo career; debuting with My Life the True Tes-tamony which peaked at #5 on the Billboard chart.

Brewing with perhaps the greatest rap story NEVER told; Blood Raw has bounced back from publicized legal woes and industry road blocks... returning with a vengeance and an undaunted quest for for REDEMPTION....Raw Redemption! Raw recently hosted Snap Backs & Back Packs back to school free school supply event in Panama City, FL and is performing on stag-es across the south east and conducting press interviews in preparation of the October 9th release.

If you are interested in interviewing or book-ing Blood Raw please email me at [email protected] or 678-327-8281 TODAY! Graciously,

Words By: Krystal Luster

Hot out of Atlanta, Georgia , Cory “Sauce” Brown is a street ball player who is infamous in the game of basketball. Although he had dreams of joining the NBA like so many do that enjoy and love playing ball, Cory decided to take a more realistic approach to his dreams and accept the fact he like the major-ity won’t make it that far. While some let that harsh truth prohibit them, Corey “Sauce’ Brown allowed his passions take him in a different direction. Mr. Brown is currently in his 5th year of tournament of street ball . He’s taken advantage of the wildly popular game series hosted by Ball Up Street Ball as well as AND1.

These turn of events he says, has taken his career to a different level. Since the age of 3, he has always enjoyed and played the game. Interests in playing street ball sparked after watching the AND1 mix-tapes. “ I knew I could do the same things they were doing because my handles and overall skills as a player were superb”. People from different cities have a chance to challenge street balls like “Sauce” in what is known as Open Runs. This gives challeng-ers an opportunity to join the street team, make a name for themselves and travel to different places. There are also tryouts, open to any and everyone who thinks “they got game”. Like many if not all, that’s how you get started in this industry and even-tually make a name for yourself. Corey tells us one of his biggest highlights was the tournament here in Indianapolis, at Northwest High School, scoring 25 points and showcasing his new moves.

Along the way Mr. Brown has met many celebrities. From the likes of Cedric the Entertainer, The Game as well as Allen Iverson who intends on playing in next month’s tournament with Ball Up: Street Ball. Infamous street ballers such as, Skip-To-My- Lou and Escalade are two individuals Corey says have influenced his game, life and passions positively. This drive to continue against all odds took dedica-tion, sacrifice and most importantly time. “ I spent a lot of hours in the gym perfecting my game which in turn meant I had to sacrifice a lot to get to where I wanted to be.” If you’re fan of street ball or pos-sible have taken an interest due to this interview, be on the look out for Corey “Sauce” Brown on Ball Up: Street Ball as well as his own projects with the youth.

Jack Boyz, is an independent feature film, directed by Anthony Qunn and starring some of the Hottest rappers, such as Waka Flocka, Ca$h Out, Slim Cal-houn, Killer Mike, Blood Raw and many more along with new talented upcoming actors such as Bobby Barrett and Anthony Quinn. This film chronicles the story of four young friends who formed a rob-bing crew in Atlanta Georgia after trying to law-fully “make it” during the recession that started in 2008. Because this group endured numerous failed attempts to legally succeed, they started robbing from the Trap Boyz (also know as Drug Boyz). After receiving a contact from an underground criminal organization, these individuals became infamous-ly know as the “Jack Boyz.” After elevating to a higher level of crime sprees, several tragic events occurred. As a result, the “Jack Boyz” attempted to

leave the game, but they realized that getting out isn’t going to be as easy as getting in. This film brings the viewers into Atlanta Georgia without depicting the city’s urban surroundings. Instead, Jack Boyz leads the viewers into the city by capturing the purest essence of urban life. In this environment, life is peachy for some, but it’s a difficult struggle for others. The urban lifestyle of Atlanta consists of Strip Clubs and Chevy Impala Cars.

This film is directed by Anthony Quinn and Executive Produced by Earl Jordan.
