THE

TWENTY4SEVEN MAGAZINE 3

DJ JTorcher, the President of The Heat Spinner DJS, has been in the profession for over 10 years. He is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and is aware of the lack of opportunity out there for up and coming local artists. He works hard to break artists in and around the city and is willing to stick his neck out, making him one of the hottest DJs in the Midwest. There is always a search for new artists to work with, however, if their music is not hot, he will let it be known. In addition to his work with upcoming artists, he also Djs in clubs, cranks out many mixtapes, has an Internet Radio Station (Heat Spinner Radio) and is a mobile DJ. His main music preference is Rap, R&B, and Old School.

Lucky the Promo King, a true music lover and a person who believes in the underdog, is the CEO of Heat Spinner DJs. He started a record pool back in the 90s called “Mixed Up Record Pool”. However, when the Inter-net took over the distribution of music he switched the record pool to a DJ Coalition. The name, “Heat Spinner”, comes fromonly wanting the “heat” from independent artists so they could be the first to break it. Their motto is “We don’t just play records, we spin heat.” The Heat Spinners are always the trendsetters, breaking new artists in their market whether big or small. Lucky feels like an aritst doesn’t have to have a big budget for him to work with them and is offering many services that include; Internet radio service, monthly mixer meetings and mass mixtape releases. Equipped with DJs for all occasions and budgets, Heat Spinner Djs offer you packages for their services, booking of their djs for parties, club events, and weddings, and the opportunity to submit music. Lucky the Promo King can be contacted at [email protected] or 317-538-4411. Remember anyone can play a record, but you need a team to break one.
